That's right, the kind folks over at Valve are giving me a tour of their HQ.

I'd like to share this as an opportunity for fellow clan members to give me any Valve-related questions they might have. Just try to keep them reasonable. I won't be asking questions such as: "When is Episode 3 being released?"

I'll be visiting mid-January.

I bet they will be shipping Ep3 fairly soon, or they are slowly relying on Steam's revenue to support them... anyways nice!

Y U NO HAVE EPISODE 3 YET??

But a serious question would be, when the new Counter Strike hits the shelves, can we expect a new Day of Defeat as well?

I ask because of the dramatic decline of DOD:S activity in recent months.

Where is my half life 3... dods brits + more classes ... why is there so many hats in tf2... why cant i have a cs:go beta key? why is betas name in the cs:go beta?

You lucky guy! Just ask them when Darth is getting all-access.

why does everyone keep saying Ep.3 ... if CS:GO is on a new engine, Im assuming the next installment will be Half Life 3.

Wrong. CS:GO is based of the Portal 2 engine. And why people are saying ep.3 is cause a valve employer was wearing a t-shirt at the e3 show with the brand new logo showing ep.3 as a new logo.
Meaning that CS:GO as I see it would just be a patched update with new engine, rather then a new game. What HL3 is gonna bring we'll see. But I think that is a year+ forward in time still.

I can ask about updates for DoDS and CSS. But I highly doubt Valve would tell me anything about future titles. Like most video game companies, Valve is secretive.

wait why are you visiting valve
I'm an aspiring game designer who likes to map with the Source engine. Not only will the tour be fun, it'll be educational as well.

As soon as I can afford it, I'll be going to school for game design. My main areas of interest being level/environmental design.

Grr why is everything on the west coast. All we really have is a section of EA Sports and Bethesda, which is still far from me.
