Dear Edge Gamers, what do you think the Eve Division gets up to?

I'm rather curious of the eGO public perception of the spaceship division.

So what do we do, in your mind?

Did you know that Eve now has 60 day trials?

Heres my take, I've never ever seen anyone with EvE or met them, they're like a ghost. I remember something like a year ago there was a short story put on the front page of how our fleet destroyed something else or whatever it was and I loved reading it. I imagine I would probably hate the game, but bring me more stories.

I was thinking of getting into EVE and joining the EGO corp, but there was a war on and recruitment was locked down pretty hard.

One time, I tried the Eve Online trial. The game has a very steep learning curve, so I decided to go into vent (In the Eve Online Channel) to see what was up. The edgegamers members in that channel did not seem to be too busy, so I decided to ask some questions, as I was getting pretty confused. I suppose I was not taken too seriously, and some rude comments were directed towards me.

After this incident, I never played Eve Online again.

If you are already an eGO member, you should still be allowed in since you are already "vouched" for, where as a totally new person could easily be a spy (common in the game).

That image is very, very true. I have played the game since 2008 and still ask questions all the time

The only real space game i play is OGame.com. Its a browser based game. But you can attack people. Create alliances. Im currently in a war with the #1 ALLIANCE called WAR. XD So yeah. Im in the alliance APE. I wouldnt mind seeing an alliance for eGO :) but thats my personall opinion.

I play Eve. I just don't have any time.
Sucks because I just got my Maurader too :(

Ogame eh. Before College started I was Rank 17 on US14. Dessy/Bcruiser fleet of 5000 + 14 Rips and 4 moons with phalanx sensors. Then college started, forgot to pop Vacation mode, and *POOF* Account got deleted >_>
:crying:
Maybe if we get enough people into Ogame, we can try and add it to strat... Hmmm... *rubs chin*

Personally I loved the stories and I wouldn't mind getting into the game at all, but the learning is what keeps me away from it as I've already gotten like tons of games. My friend has gone crazy on his money and has spent a load on PS2/Gamecube/NES/N64, etc, basically every console. So I've been down there testing the games. When I look at EVE though, I do see a master piece just waiting to be handled. I've played the trials and I like the scale the game aims for. Another issue is the monthly fee. I might give it another try when I have open time.

I was a part of the EVE division for a week. Loved it so much. I assume you're up to the same stuff, like wormhole explorations, fleet ops, mining ops, fighting the annoying guys who wardec us...
Wish I had money to pay for EVE D:

From what I remember from my time in EVE, they use their private EVE Online section of the forums a ton.

I read the EVE section here every time I check news for Battlefield 3. I currently play, however it is more of a secondary thing to me. Set stuff to train and maybe get on and do a few missions from time to time.

I agree the learning crurve is pretty steep, really it is more of a separate thing as there is pretty much a learning curve for every part of the game imo. Like I know how to do missions to the point where I dont usually die, however I rarely do pvp so I am not too good at it.

EVE seems like a crazy cool game, one that I just don't have time to learn or invest in, so I don't think about it too much.

I do understand that a lot of EVE cannot be shown to the public because there are spies trying to find out what the clan is up to in that game all the time. So I understand the need for secrecy. It leaves me curious, but I don't worry about it too much. The front page stories are always gold and I love reading each one.

In a different situation where I could put tons of vested time into gaming, I'm pretty sure I would be part of the EVE division. But I don't, so I'm not. You guys keep doing your thing and hopefully you can post more stories soon, because they are always a treat.

You guys know that a steep learning curve means it's very easy to learn information right :P

But yeah honestly EVE is just ridiculous. If you want to get into a really large corp and have an active reddit account join up with dreddit.

Bah, TEST is lame.

"Hey guys let's all fly Rifters!!"

As someone who has been in TEST (not dreddit) for 6 months, we do not only fly Rifters, if you are a new player, you will be given rifters if you want to pvp.

I personally fly 250 mil+ isk ships when I fly and have a great time with them

However if you are looking to play more casually, the edgegamers corp should be the perfect fit

I figured it was something like that, or I would be the best sleeper agent ever.

Lol, I considered how if I spent enough time in EVE I would be in an excellent position to sabotage the company for my own personal gain.
Then I realized it would mean I wouldn't be able to play with eGO anymore, and I don't like that idea at all.
Also it's evil.

All I know so far is that phase and nighthawk have broken avatars here. Is that a requirement? :P
