Congratulations to team Trilete, for winning the first annual 3v3 Christmas tournament, taking the championship over team One-Hit Wonders! I hope that all of you enjoyed yourselves during the tournament, and maybe we can do it again next year!

It was soooo much fun even if I lost my first match. I loved watching other teams play and everything was just so fun! :D AND I WON A HAT!

I loved being in the tournament. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

The only thing I would change is to have a shoutcasting team for the matches. I would so be apart of that.

It was a great tournament and was super glad too see my team win second place :D
Only thing i disliked, is even if it spans over multiple days, i wish the tournament wasnt a one-loss-one-elimination type deal...for example, the people that had too face the more competitive experienced players first, got eliminated fast and it wasnt fair too everybody.
I really enjoyed it though
Great job Trilete, Codo, Super, and Dalsia; you put up a hell of a fight against us in the finals :)

Thanks alot Wilson for coordinating this whole thing. Cant imagine the amount of time you put into planning this for us...
Really appreciate and look forward too it next year
Great job too all of the teams :)

It was a really, really good tournament, i enjoy it a lot.
But like every thing, was not perfect , was not to bad, was really good!
you know what i mean, it can get some things fixed or left it like that and still be good.

I had a good time in the tourney. Even though 1/2 my team didn't show up, we managed to grab some subs and get a win. Was a fun time.

My first ever competitive team competition :O (I did a sniping comp a wee while back)

I enjoyed it and I got a giveaway :D

It could of been improved by letting teams who lost in the first round atleast get more than one match. (like a last chance entry sorta thing)

The format might need some improving. It seemed like there were a lot of times when a team was making a comeback, but physically couldn't win because they couldn't cap enough times with the time that was left. Maybe drop it to first to three wins, or increase the time limit? I also agree with not making it single-elimination, that would have been really lame to suffer a first round knockout.

I really liked it overall, but I think Shinobi is right. I would make it first to four wins in 45 minutes. That extra win (four, instead of three) helps teams who might not be as competitively based, but the time limit needs to be extended to give the losing team a better chance at making a comeback.

The KOTH style was very good for 3v3, and the giveaways for prizes in Ventrilo was a nice touch.

Since it's 3v3, though, I would put class limits on all the classes, and make it one of each class maximum. I don't think a team should be able to run multiple heavies or engineers, especially if they just win one round and are trying to turtle defend around the point for the remainder of the game. I think having one demoman, one sniper and one medic, for example, would make the games more fun, and it would increase everybody's desire to specialize in a class or two, instead of trying to play whatever is needed for a particular round.

I would nerf Dalsia.... sticky jumping and landing on my head all the time was discomforting :D

Had a blast, even when we lost at our second match, first one was all Human but...well, we got beaten but I had a couple of nice headshots that made me very happy. While I agree with Brandon about simple elimination, coordinating an event over many days is more difficult so I guess it was a good tradeoff

very good over all. Only thing that i think should be changed is the weapon use. There is a reason why :cursing: FaNs :chair:, Enforcers and Shortstops are banned from real competitive games.

really awesome tournament. we should totally do this again. my team had a horrible loss though. partly due to the fact that one of our team members rage quit in the middle of the match. >.> won a hat for my favorite class though. :D

Well, I don't think that this was supposed to be taken as a serious tournament, unlike the Summer League. I actually thought it was interesting to see different guns used.

Despite my team losing in the first round, I had fun and loved the tournament! It was fun to watch all the other matches. (And I got a hat from the raffle!)

It was the first time my team participated in a tournament, and I think we did fine (more towards the end) considering we were up against such an experienced and awesome team.

Any other comments have been covered by others, but overall, it was an awesome tournament. I'll definitely join next year. :D

Wilson, the tournament was fantastic. Thank you for organizing it.

Personally, I really like the one-day format, as it solves scheduling issues and doesn't drag, unfinished.

Congrats to Super88, codo, Dalsia and Aquablue for winning the tournament!

I hold my arms open in welcome to any scout who chooses to use the FaN, Shortstop, or etc over the Scattergun in a fight with me, because I know for a fact that they will lose.

I agree with the increasing the time limit though, we (ComboBreakers) ended up tieing it up with Trilete 3-3 only to realize that the timer had run out near the beginning of the round, but if we had 3 more minutes on the clock that round would have counted and it would have been anyone's game :)

Those were some great matches though!
