we need a custom map rotation, i.e fun maps as you mentioned in vent.

A custom map is a user created, non-valve map. For example, Mach4 and Wacky Races on the Events Server. If you'd like more examples, feel free to ask. I have 11gb of them

Even though I voted Arena, I'll give my two cents right quick.
I would just want official Valve Maps. Maps like Granary, Badlands, Dustbowl, Goldrush, Badwater, Turbine, Lakeside, Foundry, and Steel. All those good maps that people like to play on (remind me if I missed any good ones).
I would like for the server to be a Rock The Vote, just in case there are some people who don't like the current map and such.

Yeah I'd also like ALL the valve maps. But I think I'd rather have rotation... I feel like maps like Dustbowl would get a majority of the votes and we wouldn't end up rotating through out all of them...

I voted turbine, but a rotation server would be fine as well.
Why not for a rotation server, create another poll/thread and put on like 10-15 maps, have people vote for their favorite 6, and then pick the top like 6 maps to use on the server then either do straight rotation or RTV, I think rotation would be better, but idk.

Wouldn't work. I guarantee it. You want as many options as possible to keep people happy, and your server crowds will change too much between maps, emptying the server.

I voted for Dustbowl, but Valvemaps or Turbine would also be just fine.
And I'm not completely against leaving it as 2fort (or switching it back to 2fort if it's still on foundry), though I'm sure I'll be dominated multiple times just for suggesting it.
Perhaps I can express what I would consider to be best as an inequality.
Life is miserable < 1 2fort server < 2 2fort servers < 1 2fort server with Dustbowl, Valvemaps or Turbine server < all eGO servers ranked in the top 5 of the entire world!

Honestly, is an explanation really needed? If people want community-made maps with or without a rotation, in any gamemode, we could settle that later on, with, I guess, more polls.

All the official valve maps (except! 2fort, barnblitz, and foundry), including some koth maps and the like. Make it based on rtv; make ALL maps available for vote, pick whatever map has the MAJORITY OF VOTES (i don't care if only 2 people voted for a map, if everyone else voted for a different separate map the 2 person one wins. no more "not enough people voted" errors), make the previous three maps unable to be voted on (so we don't see... dustbowl, dustbowl, dustbowl, dustbowl for instance) Add certain additional maps- koth_harvest, nucleus, turbine, warpath on the vote menu.
And make sure the server is where foundry is right now... less lag the better. Problem solved, as people get bored of maps or we find maps that completely kill the server every time we can start blacklisting them and taking them out of the vote. Start with many, narrow them down later.
