Holiday Steam Gifts

[acefisher1]

I just realized while looking through achievements that you get items (even games) for picking up gifts that dead enemies drop in TF2! Get out there and start fragging some gifts outta the other team!

EDIT:::: It appears I may have been wrong. I've not gotten any more after my initial 2. Has anyone else had any luck?

Cool thanks so much ace I thought it was just for the achievement!

It's not a guarantee that they drop from a kill, just a chance.

And to my knowledge all the VALVe Christmas gift grab thingies are achievements for the Winter sale scavenger hunt which can net you a possible free game or coal (which can be crafted to something random when you get 7), or a ticket for a % off a specific game on Steam (which interestingly is only valid from the 2nd to March something).

Earlier today I got a weapon from one of the presents. So, It seems to be the real deal.
