Here is a list of the guild ranks and a brief explanation of what each one is. These ranks and their privileges may change over time as we are still working out the kinks.


Initiate (Empire) / Trainee (Republic)
For recruits who havn't signed up on the forums yet

Nerf Herder (Empire and Republic)
This is for placing members that have been breaking eGO rules after the warn

Imperial Soldier (Empire) / Republic Soldier (Republic)
Base levels for all members that recently joined or is not in the division

Mandalorian (Empire and Republic)
Raid repairs

Imperial Agent (Empire) / Republic Commando (Republic)
For members that show great qualities and this is rewarding them for it

Ambassador (Empire) / Diplomat (Republic)
For other leadership members that want to play the game with us

Sith Assassin (Empire) / Jedi Knight (Republic)
Officer level, officers basiclly are like our admins, like G's

Grand Moff (Empire)/ Supreme Commander (Republic)
Next level officer they are like O's in a sense

Sith Lord (Empire) / Jedi Master (Republic)
For this divisions leadership members

Emperor (Empire) / Grand Master (Republic)
The guild master.

No, they're just giving an idea of how the guild ranks work. The core eGO system is used for the shooters where more admins is usually better, but in MMOs, having 50 officers would be hard to manage. Everyone would be trying to give orders during raids and such. It would get too chaotic.
 
What Branaddar said is correct. Most of the members of eGO will be Imperial Soldier/Republic Soldier.
 
just a quick question about rank.

If we've been in eGO for a few months (Battlefield division), registered on the forums and all, and started playing in the guild day 1 (Empire ftw), when can a brother get some promotion love?

I know I'm quiet and unassuming, but I feel kinda funny still bein' an initiate and all.

I can answer frost's question.

Frost, based off your forum information, you belong in the Battlefield division. As such, any and all promotions in eGO (e -> eG -> eGO - > Advisor, etc.) will be based from that division. While OP:X can put in a good word based off their knowledge or interaction with you in SWTOR, or any of their division's activities, your promotions will be based off the opinions and decisions that Battlefield leadership makes. So even if Medviah and Sgt. Beavis say you deserve a promotion, Battlefield leadership may decide otherwise because you belong in their division. You can request a change in divisions by just informing the Battlefield leadership your decision, and also letting the new division leadership know, but until then, your participation and activities to get promoted will be based off of what you do in the Battlefield division.

About ranks: This is not dissimilar to what WoW has done for their guilds. It was the best compromise between ranks within an MMO and the ranks for eGO. Even eGOs may be given just the basic rank of Soldier, because they do not have a direct influence or impact on the guild itself. Yes, they can help admin, but there's a big distinction between a guild officer and an eGO admin. Most importantly, the rights and abilities given to a guid officer versus what eGO admins have in our servers. If an admin goes bad, anything negative can be fixed and corrected in our servers. However, the same cannot be said in an MMO. Items stored in a guild bank could be stolen, for example. If anyone has any questions about this, I'd be willing to discuss this more in detail (I'm sure Medviah and the other Op:X advisors would too)

Wasn't looking for an eGO rank, I know that is time and devotion and proving ones-self. Not even looking for a "rank" in the guild. Again, that is also for those who put in the time and dedication. No problem there.

I was just looking for a bump from initiate. I've been an initiate for weeks now. I thought I signed up on the forums and such as we were supposed to.

No worries. I can stay put if that's what is decided :)
 
On that note, it's fixed easily enough. Catch advisor or the guild leader to get promoted. There's an issued with some of the ranks for officers not letting them promote members up to soldiers.
 
Last time I checked, which was last year (see what I did there?), the Diplomat rank for the Republic guild was named Ambassador. I don't care but just making sure you know for people who are OCD about stuff like that.

No, Leadership will be

Sith Lord (Empire) / Jedi Master (Republic)

if they are part of the OP:X division and

Ambassador (Empire) / Diplomat (Republic)

if they are leadership of another division.


As we play the game, people who seem to fit roles will be asked if they want to become and officer to help out.

Keep in mind that our ranking system is not following eGO's, so being an O of the forums does not mean you will be an officer. It could be possible for an e or a G to become an officer.

Back in OP:X again. Was in before with INS and then went away after they left and now back. Was an eG but don't expect anything special as i'm back.
 
In-game name is - Jakerss i dont wanna be a traneee anymore. haha
 
The Initiate / Trainee can easily be changed by submitting what I am going call proof to any officer or OP:X leadership. The rank is there because new recruits will have time to be all set up on the website, before being a "full" member. This list will be followed up on with certain intervals. The problem that some of our eGO members are experiencing right now, is that you signed up on the swtor.com website, which in turn has given us many members that are not directly linked between guild and website.

This list will shortly be worked on. Currently awaiting the last touch from PSC as far as I am aware. If you are a member of eGO and still ranked as a Initiate / Trainee, go ahead an PM anyone involved with swtor and we'll get you all set up. Remember to include your in-game name. I do, however, promise that this whole thing will be sorted out very shortly.
 
question, i joined ego a couple years back when i started playing insurgency, so am i still part of the ins division where the admins/officers of TOR wouldn't be able to promote me to eG and so on, we don't have ins servers anymore i believe, just curious how that would work if it ever happened since thats the game i started this clan with
