No, not a white Christmas (that means shoveling). More than once I have dreamt that I was playing DoD:S in real life, if that makes sense. It was just like the gameplay except that there were live people shooting at me and I was shooting back. just like in game I kept missing, but I was afraid of getting shot for real. Even had the garand firing and reload noises. Weird that I was shooting garand in my dream when I usually use support (guess it was a realism dream). In any event, does anyone else dream about DoD:S?

I don't necessarily dream about DoD, but I do have a fascination with WWII. Things seemed so much simpler then. It was obvious who was on what side and the stakes were large but well defined. Everyone was united towards the same goal. Currently, there are times when things are not so clear or as straight-froward as in WWII. That and it was the last real "traditional" war. Korea was a transition war and Vietnam was the turning point to unconventional warfare.

One last point: When do you every miss? :p

I have, once i was living on Flash in a House that was near the main street. It was nice...then i woke up and had to go to work.

The German sniper house and/or two story do look like they could be decent houses if not for the constant warfare.

It wasnt DoDs but I had just finished watching The Pacific(great series btw) and I was battling the Japanese on Guadalcanal. Same weapons of course and I was also a rifleman Wewo. I think I may have woke up screaming, but anyway thats my WWII/DoD dream.

I did not really care for the Pacific, imo not a lot of battles like Band Of Brothers.

Did. Scared to death too. Was on anzio. And i was in church, with only one person in the area with me. Chuck was down below, axis side, and i was in the tower. He moved quietly up the stairs. Suddenly, i stopped hearing things except for a "Ching!* noise. Suddenly, a smoking stick looking thing (obviously a german grenade) shot up into the tower, exploded and i woke up. Moral? Don't play anzio with chuck.

I have had dreams of driving up a road that gets steeper and steeper and a few feet from the top the front wheels come of the pavement as the car starts to roll over backwards.

Dreams are parlous places.

Quaffer, ever thought of writing a story of your life? Every post you post is insanely interesting. Tell you right now, if you ever make one reserve me one. I'll pay top dollar

A story of my life? Well why not. The world could use a cure for insomnia.

Band of Brothers was fantastic! Easily one of my favorites of all time! I haven't gotten around to the Pacific yet. I've heard mixed reviews about it, but I'm still looking forward to it either way.

I wish I dreamed about DoD:S, since usually I don't remember my dream/they're mundane or unimpressive. Luckily, I tend to not have nightmares ever, but I would rather dream about sniping from the German apartments window on Avalanche... I could stay interested in ~that~ dream all night until I woke up.

I have had a bunch of dreams about DoD and other video games, one of the most vivid dreams I ever had was about DoD and Kalt in particular.

I dreamt I was an Axis soldier shooting my way to the Allied 2nd flag coming from wheelhouse. I remember taking out several Allies, running out of ammo, pulling out my P38 to kill an Allied soldier only to have the gun jam. I then racked the slide with my teeth but the gun still jammed. We started to fight on the ground by the stairs in front of the Allied 2-story. I ended up winning the fight by bashing the Allied soldier's face into the stairs... like I said it was a vivid dream. I could even feel the cold and my teeth biting down on the slide of the P38 (which for some reason resembled plastic and not metal). Although it was extremely violent it's actually one of my favorite dreams because it seemed like I was in the most realistic video game ever. If virtual reality ever becomes a reality I hope it is something like the dreams I've had!

You're a frightening individual St0rmy...

I've only had one dream about DoD (although far more about video games...), and it wasn't particularly interesting. It was on Donner (Shock..), and I, too, appeared to be a rifleman fighting for the Allied Offense. Which is odd since I'm usually on Axis, and can't shoot for beans with the rifle. But it felt much like the duck game at carnivals...just kept pacing back and forth very quickly between the MG boxes/sandbags and the Allied ruins. Then a female voice told me to get my ass in gear (pretty sure it was Fluffy) and to take the damn tank...of which I met a rocket, grenade, as well as a bullet from a K98. Fired by Sumac, Anni, and Lung, respectively...it went on passed that, but I have no recollection of the events that transpired. Was very cartoon-y though, as if I was still playing the game itself, just..actually IN the game. Even in my dreams I can't kill those guys...I have no haven..

I don't remember many of my dreams. The more recent ones that I remember involve the apocalypse and me boarding up my house and picking down zombies from the rooftop, Father Grigori style. Does this make me a strange person?

Another one I vividly remember is this time when the world ended and the only people left were me, my friend, some random girl I never met before and God. We played monopoly, but when my friend was beating God he killed us. My friend then proceeded to rage at God in Heaven, saying that he's a coward and whatnot. That made God angry and he brought everybody back to life, which meant that me and my friend were shunned from society as everybody was rather enjoying their time in Heaven.
