Im curious to know if anyone is going against the norm and making light sided sith or dark sided jedi or whatever class? How are you liking playing against the obvious choices of what your class would normally take?

Also questions regarding the light v dark side. Is it impossible to start reversing your direction like say I went Dark Side 2 would it be impossible then to start going Light Side 2 or just take a long time and not worth wasting all those convo points?

I have heard rumors that certain in game romances are only possible if you choose light vs dark or unless you shower the companion with tons of gifts if you dont align to their path of choice.
 
I'm currently a Dark I republic Jedi. Working on Dark II, Companion gifts are worth it. You can also use the diplomacy crew skill to work on alignment from what I understand
 
As someone who is 10000 (Rank Five) Dark Side, I can say you dont need to worry as far as companions go. Gifts are easy to get and give, no problem. And seeing as I got Dark Level Five at level 40, I could technically use the next ten levels to start going lightside.

Also, Diplomacy helps extremely, by Rank 4 Diplomacy, missions will get you circa 40 point per.
 
But, at Darkside V, even with spamming diplomacy missions, all you'd be able to do is bring yourself to Neutral.

As far as good Sith characters or evil Jedi, I've been playing around with a lightsided Sith warrior and I have to say a lot of the choices are get are really enjoyable because they're usually coming across as clever and useful decisions. Only a few times have I been berated for being "merciful." I am pretty sure however that following that path, I won't be able to get the title Darth at level 50, though that's just what I remember hearing in the beta.
 
I have a Bounty Hunter which I started and have currently chosen mostly light side responses (reminds me, have to put him in the guild), so not sure.

My sorcerer is almost pure dark and I have no intentions of even attempting light side quests till 50 at least.
 
Yeah it seems that with enough gifts you can romance whoever you want regardless if your decisions piss off your companions.
 
Khem Val loves my dark side choices for my SS but he is not my type...
I started an Imperial Agent now and have been 100% light side but that doesn't feel to me to go against the norm for that character.
And my BH in beta was neutral in the decision making both light and dark
 
I've been playing as a light-sided Jedi Knight and I find that so far a lot of the dark side options do not fit well with a Jedi. They are usually very brutal such as killing someone or demanding payment for something which just doesnt seem right as a jedi.
 
I am a Bounty Hunter and I have been going with mostly light. 2000 points or so and 250 dark. I am really enjoying it for the most part. I seem to be getting more credits that way.
