So as you all may know... or not... i just recently had son! and i can't wait to get him up and gaming!

So in youre opinion when do you think i should start building him a pc so he can game?

and he loves dubstep btw. its awesome.

I bought my kids a microsoft easyball when they were big enough to climb into the chair and play computer games. A trackball with a ball the size and color of a grapefruit and a single big button. They outgrew it fairly soon.

I'd wait until they master velcro and crayons.

IMO, I would wait into they are toddler size. I think it would be kindve a waist, since they can't operate their hands, brain, feet, etc. Technology moves FAST, but I would wait t'ill he is 4, and, maybe, you could show him, and let him Assist you in building him a PC.


But be warned. Little Kids like to brake stuff (that's how I was 3-4) So, I would make sure your child doesn't like to brake and tear up stuff.

If it were me, I would save money every year until hes about 11-12. So it's not obsolete when he's finally old enough.

Though its probably best if you waited a bit; since kids like to break things and see how they work [God knows how many toys i broke to see what inside them, and then i re-purposed them ]

Kids can be careful if they're taught - I say start him early.

My boys have both been using the computer since before they were 3, and they have never broken anything. We set the rules up front - you treat it with respect, or you lose the privilege - and we explained (and demonstrated) what that entailed. We only had to enforce the loss of privileges a few times before they got it.

It probably didn't hurt that we also have a table full of old appliances and tools, and they can take apart anything on that table, whenever they want. :thumbup:
