Some of us are experiencing off and on Guild Chat problems. I've found a temporary fix for it until BW get's off its butt and fixes it.
On the Chat window, under the general tab, right click the tab and select Create Custom Channel. Type in eGO, and voila. You're now part of the eGO Custom Channel group. Conversations will appear under the General Tab. But if you want to split it out, do the same thing, but select Create Custom Tab instead.
For whatever reason that I can't fathom, Bioware got customized channels working all the time (for me, at least), but not Guild Chat.
Depending on whether or not you've already discovered this, the shortcut to talk in this customized channel would be /3, /4, or whatever number has been assigned.
