Hello all just wanted to see what your opinions are in terms of drawing brushes for Gimp or Photoshop. I just got my Wacom Capture today and I love it! However, I am having trouble determining what brushes to use. The edges are often hard and pixelated. I am currently using Gimp. I have tried the pencil, paintbrush, and even the ink pen. I have anti aliasing on and my ppi is 1000. Any advice?

Oh and I recently went to the local art store and picked up a ink pen and I've been doing a little ink art. I guess I owe it to this forum to finally post some art. Its my attempt at a sketch from reiq who is a very talented artist.

I think it's either drawn onto a tablet VIA a special pen or drawn and scanned in.
Looks pretty good aswell, Much better than anything I could do lmao.

Google search of original artist was.... Interesting lol

Normal hardbrush with Opacity, flow, and size jitter set to Pen Pressure (photoshop).

You're going to have to get photoshop, in terms of AA and overall quality of the lines. PS takes the cake.
