And of course I don't have the weapons for anything I don't already have.

Just made a Spy-cicle, want to make Philogistinator but don't have a Soda Popper... anybody got a spare Bonk?

So of course I trade and craft and craft and trade, and make myself a phlogistonator. Twenty minutes later, I switch servers and, within 30 seconds of joining valvemaps, see: You have found: The Phlogistonator. :facewall:

well, you see, the only actually practical weapons in this update were the spy-cicle and the eureka effect. that's it.

The Phlog and Manmelter, when used together, are insane. The manmelter's alt fire takes care of that no-airblast, and no random crits isn't a sacrifice because you shouldn't be relying on them anyway.

Also, Unlimited Manmelter Ammo = Pyro Spam

i hate the pomson. it makes the engineer do a job that's outside his class strengths. yeah it lowers ubercharge, that's great, but a bullet to the head or a knife to the back is a way better and quicker option. and the lose cloak effect on it also makes the engineer do something outside his class. it's MUCH quicker to have a pyro go find the spy. in addition, this weapon practically encourages spam. you have unlimited ammo on a gun that shoots long range projectiles with no damage falloff. of course that means spamming down hallways to find spies and reduce ubercharge on medics. you get free kills off this weapon as a result. the only good use of this weapon is this: normally a medic would stand behind his patient or his patient would stand in front of him to take the shots right? that's nullified with this weapon. in addition, this weapon can shorten the time that ubercharges have. those are the only 2 uses of this weapon that actually makes sense, and is good to have for the engineer. at this point, valve's starting to remove the Team in Team Fortress 2. (i mean, look at the spy-cicle. you could've just run to grab a health pack or have a medic/pyro save you from burning)

who needs practical weapons? I think i've gotten 3 kills with the wrap assassin in as many weeks, and it's still funny to use :P

The Phlog+Manmelter is a fun combo, though I do miss the ability to reflect rockets. The Mmmph charges up awful fast, I suspect that's going to be nerfed in a later update.

Also, Enforcer+DR+Spy-cicle is borderline cheating. :P
