Since everyone's throwing around helpful game backgrounds and menus, I figured I'd make a little Game Menu for DoD:S for you guys.

Note: True credit goes to Cyberia for this as if he hadn't done it for CS:S I wouldn't know about it at all.

What this does is allow you to connect to any of the eGO DoD:S servers from the in-game menu (when you press escape), rather than having to pull up your server browser. Simply download the GameMenu.res and extract it to the following directory:

Code: 
C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\STEAM_USERNAME\Day of Defeat Source\dod\resource

Note: on systems running Windows 64-bit, you will need to go to Program Files(x86).

And, what do you know! It even looks pretty good with fps' new DoD background:

Let me know if any of the buttons don't connect to the right server or if there's any issues, comments, concerns or suggestions and I'll do my best to fix them.
 
why do people always seem to throw around all sorts of cool menus etc. when im out of town? do yall have meetings about this without my knowledge?

looks good, i'll be checkin this out when i get home as well.
 
If I could get the backdrop that fps made to work, I might try this out. No worries I will fight on and defeat this beast.
 
Thanks Zimmy, you guys do some great work. Appreciate it! Now if you know anyone that could create a L4DoD Mod for eGO let me know...I would be willing to get them a nice new monitor or something if we could get a mod like that for our event server.

If you don't run a widescreen setup, you may need a standard non-widescreen version of his .vtf. You might consider pm'ing him about making a standard version. Unless of course you are running widescreen, at which point the only thing I could think of is that you're not putting it in the right directory ;)
