SWTOR Problems

I'm havein some problems with the game now,... What happenes is after about 5-15 mins of loading/playing time, my computer will just shut off. My first though was maybe i was overheating, but then again i have played this game for 40 or so hours already and my computer never did this befor, but i cleaned all my fans and vents. And i got the same problem. so then i ran 3 virus remover things, AVG found 5, and reomved then, TDSSkiller found none, and Malwarebytes found 2 and removed them. but still got the same problem, and my computer only shuts down while playing SWTOR. Anyone know the fix to this problem, i'm not to techy to idk much but help and tries would be awesome,

You're not the only one having these kinds of issues. Granted yours does not seem to be resetting itself, still worth a looksie I'd say. Good luck!

Gonna sound strange, but I think it's Windows doing it to you. For some reason, I don't think the launcher and the OS play nicely.

I did have a problem similar to what you said and my rig is a bit more juiced. I run 64bit 7 too.

Check your register. I hadn't run CC cleaner in a while and was surprised at the number of problems. Run Autoruns too, see what is running in the background. I keep finding Windows Media player and other Windows apps creeping in, sopping up my mighty power. Do that, re-boot, de-frag the game file itself (it's a mess once it is installed), and see what happens.

have you had this problem with any other games ? do u own a old graffix card that might run stwor on low settings ?

have you tried running game at lowest setting with anti-alising off and bloom ? if yes, did it seem to run longer ?

sounds like youre card, these things burn out all the time, nature of the beast. if you are running game as a admin threw its propeties, windows shouldnt effct it. ventrilo has effected my game but only as far as key bindings and stuff . make sure you r running that also as admin.

google youre problem, if u find alot of peps have same prob it might be something server side. big patch today 01-17-12 , might fix it.

it could be youre graffix card or could be youre processor heating up. but that wouold most likely restart computer on you or just shut down, if it was youre processor. whenever playing a game and i experienced black screens of death or crashing at the same exact time everytime, it has always been my graffix. no cheap fix, unless u have a warranty . chances r u on a labtop and proll screwed. if not u can get a new one cheap. www.newegg.com is where i usualy get my cards.
