I recently broke my hand bad enough to need surgery on it:(, can anyone recommend me some good games that I can play with one hand. Maybe something similar to Machinarium where I can just use the mouse & don't need the keyboard at all.

Hoard, Gratuitous Space Battles, any Total War game. All of them except GSB have demos if you want to try them out.

RTS games like, Warhammer 40k Dawn of war series and Company of heroes. I know I only play RTS games with my mouse.

anything turn-based would be ideal I would think.

For example, civilizations V.

Well clearly you're a madman who can't learn keyboard shortcuts. Gotta press those R and Tab buttons like CRAZY in Dawn of War. And this holds even less true for Starcraft, I don't think you could beat anyone with only one hand in that.

Just so everyone knows.....

It was really hard for me not to post some nice jokes with this one. :)

Excuse me sir, I do not need keyboard shortcuts. I play with expertise with my mouse... Maybe you should do the same? It is what the cool people do.

lol, don't worry I might be irate some times but I do have a pretty good sense of humor....you'd have even more jokes if I said how I broke my hand.
btw good suggestions guys thanks,I'll have to check out some of those.

Learn to be fast :P
I consider the pros to be more like "cool people" and they'd get significantly less done with only one hand.

I learned to play FPS games with just my right hand when I broke my left wrist. I had 2 buttons on the left side of my mouse for move forward/backward (thumb), 2 buttons on the right of my mouse for left and right strafe (pinky), 2 buttons by the scroll wheel for crouch and jump (middle finger), used the scroll wheel for weapon switching (middle finger), clicked the scroll button to reload (middle finger), and used left and right click normally (pointer and ring fingers, respectively).

It was very challenging at first, but after a couple weeks I got used to it to the point where I was able to maintain a KDR of ~1. Nowhere near my normal level, but it was interesting lol

Now that you mention it I do have a few extra buttons on my mouse...I bet I could set it up so I could at least play Pocket Medic or Sniper in TF2...maybe even really bad w/m1 Pyro :w00t:

So that explains why I've never won a game in Starcraft... I know not a single keyboard shortcut in any game.

The Monkey Island games and the Sam & Max games are like machinarium, and they only require 1 hand. Some of em are old as hell but they are still fun.

Or you could just get an iPod touch/iPhone.

Sometimes I play CS:S one handed, but when I start playing poorly I switch back to two. :P

While I didn't break my hand, I do frequently have my hands full with my niece. Plants vs Zombies only requires the use of a mouse and so it is easy to play with one hand.
