As the title says my steam account has been hacked, anything coming from me till farther notice is to be disreguarded. Rest assured I am workinng as fast as i can to get my account back, but just getting to steam's support is a royal pain.

Nope that be the freakin Hacker...sorry I am trying as fast as I can

For the time being I have all communication blocked from you. Dont know if there is any way they can get access to my account. But I dont wanna chance anything.

Good luck. Also what is your Steam account name? "Beemermarine" doesn't give me any results.

That maybe because they froze the account, not sure, that was the account name
it is linked with my hotmail account which I just got back. Plus made a new one....Now back to trying to get support from steam.....:(, :wall

Thought it was funny myself when all of a sudden he messaged me...not that Beemer and I never talk, but usually it is me that bugs him. :P

Don't worry about it. Just focus on getting your account back and be sure to change the password on any other accounts you might have.

Well at this point and time I would have to say I am probably screwed as again the e-mail has been hacked and steam has virtually no support, 2012 is not starting out a very good year at all...if this gets any worse I may just walk away from gaming all together, nobody has a freakin phone number to call, everybody wants you to wait for an e-mail....HELLO it aint working...sheesh ......

Did you activate your BC2 key into Origin? That'd at least save that end.

Origins is safe, alter e-mail also invoked there.....so BC2 and BF# are safe, still fighting on the hotmail and steam account....:(

I got a message from your account too. I called him out on a phishing attempt and in broken English he kept saying how it was legit. He threw in a couple of '?'s here and there so I was pretty sure it wasn't beemer. Best of luck with steam support as they can be frustrating.

The truly sad part is I can't get the steam account till I secure the e-mail account linked to it, and have heard horror stories of it taking months to get steam accounts recovered, glad I only have a few hundred bucks worth of games there....................................................................

Beamer, do you have any or most or all of the cd key codes with you account?

If so thats the main thing steam support will want if you use the option that your old email has been hacked too.

Now being that you have been hacked I would use a different computer to do all of this as it seams you might have d/l some sort of key logger and or a virus and thats how they hacked your email twice as you said.

Dbad

Also,
If you paid for any of your games via credit card, they'll ask for your last 4 digits of your credit card to make sure it's you.

I've had this happen to me but they will respond to you as soon as they can. It took them 2-3 days to respond to me.

I am sorry this is happening to you.

These guys are both right. I was hacked well over a year ago (when I was in eGO the first time), and I was just starting to feel hopeless when I realized I still had a retail version of the Orange Box and Counter-Strike: Source as evidence for my cause. As long as you can provide proof of purchase or other undeniable proof that you truly own the account, Steam will hand it to you. Are there other emails you've used in the past, or something the hacker wouldn't know?

I don't blame you man, I understand the feeling as I have had to wait for "confirmation" emails dozens of times. Luckily I can say that I have never had to try to email a company after I told them it was hacked. That is by far one of the dumbest things I have ever heard of a company doing. It defeats the purpose of trying to get it back and is contradictory. Anywho, good luck & I wish fast justice on those who preyed on you. :)
