question about realism

Well it sounds really fun but i don't know if a member like me, who has been a member since yesterday, can play in these games, and if so, it sounds kinda confusing. Can someone please answer these questions?

Realism is just DoD in a more realistic environment. Each team will get a CO and XO, and there are certain things we do to make it more real. It doesn't matter how new you are, you have to start somewhere. if you want to learn more about realism, read the Realism Handbook, or shoot Sumac a PM on the forums. Also, welcome to eGO!

Well i read the Handbook but i just don't understand how i can get into one of these realism games.

To Cat with a Mustache: Yes of course you can play. Just show up Sat night to Realism and you're in. While there, keep quiet, observe, and you'll learn quickly what's going on.

To everybody else: Wouldn't it be cool if this guy had a bromance with Matt with a Cat? Then we could call them "Matt with a Cat with a Mustache".

Realism this Saturday will be at 8:00 PM EST, so 5PM PST for you. Join us in ventrilo 15 minutes prior to the event and you will be given the password to join the server.

(BTW who is matt with a cat -_-)

Matt with a Cat is a Strat Division Leader and was in DoD:S leadership (I forget which position). Too bad he doesnt play DoD:S any more because he is fun to play with; you would like him. Although you didn't ask, YSD (YoSPankDog) is our resident joker, some of his forum posts are legendary. He is less fun to play DoD:S with though. Hope to see you at realism Saturday night.

Realism is fun and pretty simple once you get to know it. Basically all you have to do is listen to your CO and not shoot teammates.
