Anybody else here as big of a fan of the Olympics as I am? I completely nerd out about them. Furreals. Anyways, I plan on doing a huge series of threads about the Olympics, leading up to the actual games (it's coming quicker than you realize!), and I wanna make sure to include other Olympics die-hards and noobs alike. Maybe you aren't sure what they are? Come learn about them!

Anyways, post if you're a fan or curious about them. Make sure to include your home country and what sports interest you!

I might be helping out for the games! Right now the only job I've got is a security job... *heads off to the gym*

Personally, as a Canadian, I'm more of a fan of the winter Olympics than the summer Olympics.

I kinda prefer the winter olympics although we don't see much snow in the Southeast

I still haven't gotten over that gold medal hockey game. But what a game it was at the same time.

YSD, you do know that we have a hometown hero to root for this year right? Gymnastics athlete Jordan Wieber from DeWitt, MI just won the world championship last October in Tokyo. She is trying out for this summer's Olympic team.

Not bad for a 16 year old! They can't get enough coverage of her in the LSJ, and I tell you what she has the beastiest legs I've ever seen. She will be a heavy favorite for the individual gymnastics gold medal I am guessing.

I root for North Korea in every international sporting event. Their athletes really need to win...or else.
