Non American vs American =(e)= Scrim?? Good idea, we think so! (edited)

Heya all, Me, Slayr357 and a couple of eG members have been thinking over a possible scrim in a couple of weekends for all those new recruits. Basically!...

Each team will consist of 16 players, 15 of them will be e members and then 1 more will be an eG, myself being in control of the 'Non American side' and another one selected for the 'American side'.

The scrim will maybe take place on Donner next weekend and the timing will be suitable for all, as in it might be late morning for the americans and afternoon/evening for the rest of the non americans.

This event is being run to try and get all the new e members and old of course to get to know there new clan mates and each other. The scrims will be all about teamwork in order to try and gain a great victory over there counter parts.

It will be a hour or a hour and a half (undecided yet) and people who are interested will be asked to sign in on a sign in sheet at a later date once things are final. The people who will be signed in will get priority over the people that haven't, so prepared to be kicked if you enter the scrim and have not signed in as we are hoping for alot of interest!

The winning team will probably have their team logo on the front, undecided on what it will look like, but we will sort that out.

(Right i am planning not to use this rule below for the fact, that it will make it very confusing and could hamper the game, basically the first 32 people to sign up will play, if anyone is away due to reasons, we would let those =(e)= members who did not register that there is space and that they are needed to play) I am putting up the Sign in sheet tommorow!)

(If you managed to get punched or knifed or spaded Once or Twice (not sure yet how many times) you are required to leave the game to leave a place for a fellow soldier, this allows circulation of the team members and gives everyone a chance to play. This will be enforced if taken into effect. - Not going to be USED)

Can some eG's please post a comment on a similar thread in the eG forum if they are interested in being the american eG, sorry foreign guys, as i am organizing this, i want to make sure it runs from start to finish with me being there

One word of warning... if its melee attacks that will cycle people in and out, you're going to set yourself up for a scrim where either A. everyone is simply using melee weapons or B. everyone is paranoid

You may want to consider an alternative method of cycling players in and out, or simply using more than more server.

I agree on what your saying, but if you think that if one team just wants to go and melee them, i can assume that the other team will just shoot them up before they get close, in that respect the melee team will not win that round, melee weapons are at a serious disadvantage, if everyone wants to run around meleeing the other team, i will just make sure my team shoot them down where they stand before they get any kills! So it is up to team captain to make that their team doesn't just melee otherwise they are going to lose big time!

I would always gun down a melee person over meleeing them, i am crap in melee XD!

I dont think we have had a scrim with FL where we had more than two players with less than 100 ping

also welsh i think the scrim thing is a good idea but u have to put more thought inot the circulation thing cause id say with only two eG's in there u will find it hard to get people to leave when they actually get hit by a fist/knife.shovel

Ever heard of the term kick ? XD but yeh, that was slayr idea and i am sure he has the system sorted out, the circulation thing might not be used tbh, i much rather host serveral scrims where people can only play once, it all depends on numbers

Yo, THE MELEE RULE IS NOT GOING TO BE USED, the top 30 e members that sign up tommorow (bar the FL which i have started already in the private forums for interest reasons) will get in the scrim! If you don't sign up and there are 15 e members signed up for playing dw, someone might not actually turn up on the day for various reasons, so i will keep those e's posted! Guys can you make sure you get vent (if you haven't already) as it will help us out considerably (ventrilo info can be found at the top of the site next door to all the other site variations (DOD, TF2,CS:S, COD4)!

The game will be a week sunday and at around 7pm GMT, so 2pm for New York and 11am for the Los Angeles side. This isn't definate but i think it is the best way we can get everyone from everywhere without causing trouble. Any problems pm me or post a comment away. Any alterations will be posted by me on this thread, tommorow everything will be final to allow people to sign up.

I have got interest off eG members and i will just pick one that i can trust to help me out and keep his team under control, that will be revealed tommorow aswell. Thanks to all who have posted comments so far, any more ideas let me know asap!
