So I recently aquired a used xbox 360 and first time powered up like a charm. Second time I powered it up I was met with a Full flashing red ring, not a 3/4 red ring (RRoD) I know that this is something to do with the AV cables, but here is the interesting part. If I let the xbox sit for awhile unplugged, and plug it back in, first time it powers up perfect, but the next time I try it will give me the error. Any ideas?

Sounds like a shoddy port or AV cables. First replace the cable then see if anything changes.
I've tried three different AV cables (I have had numerous 360's) and doesn't do any good. I pulled it apart to clean the fans out because they where making a noise and now its RRODing when I power on the third time, second power up is still the full red ring.
