Well hey i have made every toon on each side, with every advanced class. So i have made everyone but the sorcerer healer and the mercenary healer, so i have made 8 others, so i want some opions here. How good is the full heal on both of these, and the base attacks you get with just being a BH or sorcerer. Meaning not puttin any points in another other tree besides heals. So damage and heals its what i want to know, Thanks guys.

If they're at all like their light side counterparts then it is really a tough call. So far I've played a sage to 22 and a commando to 20. The commando can load that healing ammo and get bonuses from that to help healing, but the Sage can put the Force shield on whoever is tanking in addition to doing his heals.

Damage is pretty decent as the secondary role of either class is dps, so there really is a lot of versatility with these classes. That's just my take so far and again I'm playing the light side counterparts, so anyone with the dark side ones might want to weigh in for further perspective.

Hope that helps!

What I meant to say was the Sage can cast his shield on other players, whereas the Commando can only cast it on himself.

I would presume it's the same for sorc/merc but again I don't really know.

Well, if you Spec into Merc healing, you get Kloto Shell which is a shield that heals the target on hit, stack of 10. It doesn't reduce dmg, but your Main heals both have effects when specced, that either reduce dmg or provide additional armor. Merc's also get a "natures swiftness" ability as well as one that reduces the next heals cost to 0.

If you have any Merc healer related questions, i'v done quite a bit of research and theorycrafting for them. Hit up Malarky Empire side.

If you are doing a comparison you should also consider movement.

I have a sage, it has a big, 1000+ HP heal, but you have to stand and cast. THat's a big negative.

But the healing (Seer) spec also gets Rejuvinate, a nice heal over 15seconds. It can be cast quickly on the run, and then you can target another player while the first target is still recieving healing.

Sages can also cast several other spells on the run the most important being Force Armor...you don't have to do as much healing when your target is protected...it takes about two seconds to hit a target with Force Armor and rejuvinate and then you can switch focus to another friendly...all the time on the run.
