Voice changing?

I'd like to know if using voice changers through mics are against the rules on the servers. I ask because I plan on using one IF it is okay. I've asked an admin on the Donner server he said probably not. So I'm asking here just in case if he is or is not right. So...is it? This is the link for anyone to check out.

I had the idea of using a voice changer 'cause my voice sounds funny from being recently sick. That and I can make myself sound like the guy from SAW. But really, I wanna know if it's okay or not.

You don't need that. I think youl be fine with a sick voice, and if anyone gives you trouble grab me in the server. We love our clanmates and will take care of you.

Im not sure what the council would say about this but Id say it would probably be a no. There is no particular need for it. This is just a game and you should just be yourself. Despite the fact that the Saw voice is cool, there is no need to use that on the servers. Like it was said before... you being sick doesnt really matter, people play games with sick voices all the time so people wouldnt be bothered by it at all.

I agree with Bigbird that the answer will be no. It's like hiding who you really are and leaves the perception you might be a problem player. There is no need for such a device unless you are inflected and need one to speak.

Solnav hit the nail on the head. There's no reason to hide behind a voice changer. You'll find that everyone here is very acceptive regardless of what your voice sounds like.
