Well now Flash is slowly falling back down the ranks. Yes i know many of you hate Flash, but I have come up with a plan that may work out for everyone.

Now that college has picked up for me and other games have arose I had an idea that I have been holding back upon. Originally I had an Idea for an event called "Flash Fridays". However knowing the people in DoD:s they would only be on Flash that day only. I wanted a Push for every day, but seeing on how reinforcements have been low. Time to time public players would fill Flash with no help at all from eGO members which was awesome to see.

Now I want to see if Flash Fridays will be able to hold back the German offensive. We have the push, but losing ground slowly. MAYBE when it is summer time we can make a push that sends the Germans packing. The reason I'm not posting this in the DropBox is because I want everyone to see.

So in the end that is my post. Just because you hate a map does not mean not to support it. I do it every time i go in DoD:s when Flash is out of action. We all signed up for eGO to support all of it, not just half of it or even 90%. We did a 100% to support it.

Recap: Flash needs help. Event Idea called "Flash Fridays". Time should be around 8 pm est for best possible results. Flash is not dead, but needs support. THERE STILL IS A PUBLIC INTEREST!

P.S I also want to see other people post then the regulars on the Flash posts. You know who you are and i also know who you are.

Dutch, your help in filling up the Flash server is great, I love your enthusiasm. I know you feel that your map is not being supported like it should be, but its not the case, three of our servers constantly need help to fill up and unfortunately Flash seems the hardest one to do so. You are right there are a lot of players that hate Flash and refuse to help it fill up, its selfish on their part, but you can't control how people think or what their going to do. I have been trying everyday (well in the evenings when I am not working) to help fill our servers) I very seldom play my all time favorite map Kalt, because I am dedicated to helping fill all of our servers. When i returned from my absence from eGO due to poor internet, I was bound and determined to get Kalt back as one of our servers. There was fortunately enough other people who wanted it back as well that Leadership granted is another try, and so far it has seen decent success. (still has its issues with not being full constantly, but it was always that way before) What makes maps like Flash and Kalt special isn't so much the map itself, but the regular players that make it fun and enjoyable to play on. That's what we all love about our eGO servers, we all need to be more active in the servers, we need to stop talking so much in admin chat to all our friends and really reach out to our public players and get them involved in the conversation and the fun we all have playing in game. Get on the mic joke around with the pubbers, welcome them when they join, tell them thanks for playing when they leave and to come back again. It's things like this that keep people coming back, its just like customer service at a job. You might be a little more pricey then a Wal Mart but just taking care of the people that come in your store and listening to what they have to say and talking with them, will keep most people coming back.

The Rangers is the perfect avenue to do this, but we needs EVERYONE'S help to do this. If you have not signed up to join the Rangers and help fill our servers please do so. With a larger player base to pull from we can fill up our servers more rapidly. Our current member base is 40+members, so when we post an announcement currently we are lucky to get 4-5 members to join one map. If we have a member base of 100 we could easily post an announcement on filling up 2 servers at once with 10+ players in each map. The problem right now seems to be by the time we get through filling up Donner, Kalt and Anzio most of our Rangers are bored with the thought of filling servers and Flash seems to get left behind. We have been getting major help from JohnT, Artimus and even Kendle to help fill our servers. Its people like this that pull in even pubbers to fill our servers.

All of us can't just support our favorite map and nothing else, we are an organization and a division, we need to be united in our efforts to support all of our servers and eGO has a whole.

Keep an eye out for the Rangers, some things are in the works, and if you haven't signed up yet, please get with an Advisor, Greenlight Terror, or Myself and we will get you into the group.

I commend thee, but Flash is not that hard to fill up. When kirk was on he got his buddy's which was around 8 players and that server would have constant people from 3 pm est to 2 am. I don't think i can find that dedication because his crew was always on playing everyday. You can not find that anymore really. once Flash has 8 people it goes. Believe me i have done it without eGO help before, but it is very slow.

Also another reason why servers are not filling is because DoD:s is old and people are less and less playing. Everyone keeps avoiding it, but dod is dying and needs a new one out. I remember two years ago when all our servers were up and running. All the ranks where below 100 except for the events server which was rank 124. The golden years are gone for this game and you only have maybe a couple new faces time to time.

Yeah I know recruiting is getting people and such which I do enjoy to see even though I tend to stay away from people. What OSUGOBUCKS talked about was the Flash event. I laughed hard when later in the week i saw the same public faces with no tags on at all. I asked and they said "Maybe later". I never really see other eGO faces in Flash. The other servers yeah i see a lot of new faces, but like you have said Flash has been left behind. Most of the people i use to play Flash with all the time left for other Division or went away because they were unhappy with the treatment of Flash. Kirk said he would come back, but I can not say what has to be done before.

You push for the Rangers which is good, but all I see is Fill up anzio or Fill up the servers. Out of all the Ranger announcements i saw i think one help fill Flash.

I also want to point this out because i have been told over and over again. During a meeting I was told we would never get rid of the Flash server, maybe it would be replaced. I was told by someone that "why do i push for Flash so much when i was told Flash would never go away because we would not lose a server"? To simply put it undefined and utter dedication to it making its come back which it will, but with help. It is my fault to where Flash is. I should have seen the signs of Kirk leaving and the server being less and less full. If only i caught it back then this pickle would never have happened. That is why I will never give up.

And thats with only a handful of our members really recruiting. Imagine what it would be like if all our members were that excited about it? :w00t:

Also what do you think about a Frag Flash Friday? Giving everyone more grenades to frag with? Do you think that would entice people in to play Flash? I am willing to help create an event in the Flash server, but it has to be something special to get people who would not regularly come into Flash cause they don't like the map.

oh how i wish we could reinstitute Hell Hounds...those were the good ol days of flash lol. i don't even know if any of the old H/H guys besides myself are still even around. all you young guys probably don't even know what I'm talking about lol. ahh...wishful thinking.

This game isn't dead, it has issues but there are fixes and people are working hard to keep things rolling. Also, Frag Flash Friday sounds like a fairly good idea Anni. It is unique enough that it will be something new and fun. Not sure if we can get that to happen on a pub server but if possible, it would be fun.

I know some heel hounds float by time to time. Most disappeared, but it would be nice to have them back.

Dutch I have some ideas of my own that could help Flash out. As you know I have been interested in helping you fill Flash when I can. I have been busy this week but my schedule should be getting more open. Find me sometime and we will talk.
