After decades of brutal fighting, the fruit wars have drawn to a close with all battling factions singing an unconditional surrender to People's Republic of SpetzNaz. This shocking turn of events was caused by the launch of a massive array of Glyphosate containing missiles. The use of Glyphosate, widely known as an indiscriminate herbicide, has absolutely annihilated much of the fruit population. Although Grand Marshall SpetzNaz has been widely condemned by the international community for this shocking and brutal action, he has successfully closed out one of the most destructive wars in culinary history.

I hope the point of this is clear. While the fruit wars were cute and amusing at first, and basically fell by the wayside until recently, they are now getting to point of insanity. People are adding forum signatures, adding yet ANOTHER tag to their in game names, and even arguing over the matter on Ventrillo. Hell, we even have a non-fruit (contrary to Wikipedia, a Taco is not a fruit) being added to the war. It stops now. We're a mature gaming clan, and should represent that accordingly.

Ok, peoples... Let me explain a few things.

The "Fruit War" was last year. It was started because some freak xfire was harassing Baron Rojo about the "explicit" use of fruit. The only response those of us in teamspeak could come up with was to suggest a pineapple.

The joke ran for a few days, before Thor started his "grapefruit" crusade. I don't think anyone actually took the time to even explain to Thor what the fruit joke was REALLY about, before he started it. A few of us joked around in a fruit thread, and for the most part, the whole running gag was forgotten here in the forums.


The thing is.. Those of you who are just now posting these Fruit War threads really had no clue about the origins. Add into the fact that you're more than a day late, and a dollar short, and the joke is OVER... Well, saying "drop it" didn't seem to get through.

So, here's the last warning:

As one of the ORIGINAL four "pineapples", I'm saying, let it go. Take the sigs off, take the [P] tags off, and don't argue with Spetz, or try to find a way around the newly laid down rule. I'm locking this thread. This is it. We're done.
