Sup all. I've been looking around at the DoD sounds with GCFscape, a program that enables you to view sounds and other files that are packaged in the GCF files of source games like DoD.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me find out the console commands to prompt a few of the sounds I've found, but I cannot figure out the console command to prompt those files being played.

A few sort of known voice commands that you can use are..

"Get ready, Tiger/tank ahead" - voice_tank

"Fall back". - voice_fallback

"Whiskey tango foxtrot" - voice_wtf

"take this ammo" - voice_takeammo

"move up with the tank" - voice_movewithtank

All of these above mentioned work on both teams as voice commands.

voice commands that i cannot figure out how to play in-game are

piat.wav - axis saying piat (After looking it up, a piat is a British anti-tank weapon, and possibly a word in french.. But I'm sure it's meaning in dod was to define the anti tank weapon, perhaps in a beta version.)

prepare.wav -us/axis saying prepare for assault

spreadout.wav - us/axis saying spread out

right.wav us/axis saying right

left.wav -us/axis saying left

and a 1 or 2 others.

I know it should be possible to enable these sounds I've found and played out of game. For example, the medic command is not on the GUI menu, but it is played with the medic mod easily, as it was a standard sound for dod in the GCF file.

I highly doubt these sounds are not voice sounds, but other sounds, as they were found in the same section of voice commands. They would make no sense to be said in the start of the game (Maybe an early version since I've heard all the starting sounds), they're too short.

Any help is appreciated. Any if you can't figure it out, there are some voice commands you may not have known of, or known how to play.

I am not sure what to to about that. But thank you, I didn't know a program like that existed and I could really use it.:)

No prob smilodon. It is a VERY useful program. I mean, if you own the game, you should have the right to extract/examine all files that come with it, this makes that possible. I have found it ESPECIALLY useful for audio files. I've used it to identify and edit source sounds for 5 years.
