Here are some basic instructions on setting up an eGO stream. I hope this will help you properly set up a stream for people to view.
1. Choose a platform for streaming
There are currently 3 "platforms" eGO uses for streaming content; They are: Own3d.tv, Xfire, and Livestream. The first two choices are the easiest to use and fast to set up with the latter taking the longest. Note that with Livestream, you MUST become verified through their site which can take 24/48 hours or more.
Once you have decided which to go with, simply register on the platforms website and download the streaming client.
2. Configure the client
Once you have downloaded the client, follow instructions on how to set up a stream. Everyone's configurations will be different. A lot will depend on video card, upload speed, bandwidth, and sound.
Have an idea on what your current upload speed is so you can configure the bitrate accordingly. You can find out at www.speedtest.net
3. Start a stream on eGO
Once you have your stream client set up and are registered with a platform site, you can now set up a stream on Edgegamers. To do this, go to the stream central and click the "Setup my Stream" button. Once inside your stream page, choose the dropdown box under Stream Username and choose the platform you are going to use. Then, enter the user name in the box. Each site is different:
Once the stream has been accepted, you can rename the title and description. Try to include which games you will be streaming in the description so viewers know what they are looking at. Remember, eGO rules still apply so be careful what you stream.
You can check your stream at anytime by visiting the eGO stream page. There is usually a minor delay when a stream starts, so allow some time for your stream to get going before it shows up.

- Own3d.tv uses your unique streaming ID. You can find this by going to the Own3d.tv website, logging in, and going to "My Livestreams". Your Id is what you should enter in the box back at the eGO stream page.
- Xfire uses your user name. I.E. My Xfire user name is mrfos16 (i messed up the p...), so I would enter mrfos16 in my eGO stream. You must be logged in for this to work.
- Livestream uses your Livestream user name, but it must be verified by the websites staff before being allowed on eGO. This may take 24/48 hours or longer.
