even if a i join a 50 latency server with my ping of 41 or happens the same if a i join black mesa with 100 and my ping of 99
I keep getting LAG LAGGY LAG :C

so someone have an idea of what's going on ?

;/ :C , just makes me sad, and i just realized that sucks even more, with this
i was in front of a soldier with a medic , they pop kritz at the time they poped , i aimed to my feet and shoot , i heard how my rocket was about to get out of my rocket launcher , but then i appeared dead LOL

I have been having the same problem but only when I join a server, I just get a connection problem a couple of times then it goes away but it is very annoying

Could it be your FPS going down? this may cause lag, and it's not internet lag it's display/video lag where everything looks like slowed down. And as you said it was going on and off it might be some drivers or maybe your GPU is damaged/starting to fail.

might wanna see if it's a CPU problem first.

If it's not I'd suggest checking your TCP settings. [maybe go get a speed test of your internet; see how good your connection is when it's connected to our servers (I think they're in Arizona)]

If all else fails, facedesk into your computer while standing next to your router.

I have had this problem a fair bit lately (since coming back to my desktop after christmas break), or at least a problem which sounds similar. (I start FPS lagging every time anything new happens in my view, which includes just moving around, though it gets much worse when a bunch of death hits me in the face).

I seem to always have this problem of blackmesa, and sometimes on Valve Maps, but I have yet to experience it on Foundry or 2Fort. I have no idea as to what's causing it, because it can't be entirely my computer's fault (switching from valve maps to foundry fixed the problem earlier today without restarting TF2), and it can't be the server location (or ping)'s fault, as I have yet to have an issue or 2Fort or Foundry, and they are on different boxes. Neither can a vanilla/non-vanilla server be the issue, as Foundry is vanilla (or as close to vanilla as it can be), and 2Fort is not.
It also can't be my particular internet connection, as Gaming sits right next to me and has no issues whatsoever.

I do have a 2.66GHz Intel dual core CPU, and an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M with 256MB of VRAM, not to mention the fact that my computer is nearing 3 years old, which could be my problem.
