On Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at 9:28 pm CST, my mind was blown…our Ventrilo section filled my entire screen! The best part: nearly or very close to half were within the Bad Company 2 rooms. Please, don’t get me wrong: Ventrilo never was, never should be, and hopefully never will be a requirement for eGO. However, success of a division is easily rated upon the interactions of its members and positive relationships therein. Personally, being a star recruiter when I have the time, encouraging tactical teamwork, friendships, and dedication through Ventrilo is a hugely difficult job to tackle. In all honesty, I’ve most recently gotten them onto Ventrilo as I recruit them, so as to introduce them early and get those recruits returning day after day to foster clan unity…not only this, but Ventrilo, supplemented by the forums, is the best way to be informed of events and such that common members, regardless of rank, may participate in. I’ve crabbed at you guys from day one for showing general disinterest in communication (*monotone* must post on forums/must be on Ventrilo, but seriously, this stuff is important to keep people coming and current members around), which I see as key to beginning and remaining a part of the community, but the day has come when, alas, I must admit your success brightened my day. Thanks, and +1 to eGO’s best division! Morale boost = success.
Now, it’s my bedtime, for I have basketball tomorrow and multiple projects to work on for school beforehand. I apologize for my own inactivity, and hope to be back going as strong as before very soon (my winter basketball season ends in give/take two weeks).
