Quite some time ago, seriously it was like 15 years ago, my oldest brother got me hooked on an internet game where you owned/ran/operated a virtual movie theater. You could get different add-ons, expand the theater, set pricing, etc. etc. The main premise of the game, however, was to set which movies each screen in your theater was showing on any given day. Then, your profits were based on real-life movie turnout for each day, compared to your own theater's set-up.
More about how it works:
Anyways, I really miss playing this game (I have looked high and low and can't find it anywhere), so I wanted to start up a version of my own with you guys. Before I actually work out the full system of how it will work, all the calculations, logistics, prices for things, etc. etc. I want to see if I could get enough people interested in playing to make it worth my effort.
Your feedback is much-appreciated. If you have ideas for features that the game should have, let me know. If you know the original of which I speak, and played it yourself, I want to hear from you. If you have "move theater/cineplex" knowledge/experience, I want to hear your input as well.

I won't take the time to explain how the whole calculations go, but it was set up to where you couldn't, for example, just show Star Wars on all 15 of your screens to make tons of money. Only so many people in any given theater's region would be going to see one movie, after all, so part of the fun was not only trying to figure out which movies would do well, but also how well they would do. Nothing felt better than picking a movie release "dark horse" and having it turn out well. Then, things like money from concessions was based on your prices and the virtual "turn-out" your theater had, compared to real-life turnout, which could never be predicted.
Other factors the game had were advertising, various theater features (such as game rooms, etc.), and also when your theaters got big enough you could expand to multiple theaters (at one point I had my "play it safe" theater and then my "test/gut feeling" theater).
