Energy Type

Is there a "better" energy type or is it mostly preference? I see that each type has a small added bonus and it looks like antiproton is the preferred endgame energy type? I know it's good to have all of the same energy type so you can modify it with consoles. Right now I have all phaser energy with phaser enhancing consoles. What's everyone's preferences?

Well mine are AP, and Angriefans, likes the Purple 1's which name forgoes my brain atm lol.

but each weapons has specific abilitity's which will be better for certain missions.

I prefer Antiproton, but I have yet to get some. But comparing stats with other types, I have decided Antiproton.

Polaron far as i know take shields down faster.
Antiproton does more hull damage but also does Medium shield damage.
Phasers due good against both shields, and hull.
