yeah I always play with it on so I can see my fps and I forget to take it off when I record. Thanks for the tip, I will definitely take that out the next time I record.

I used fraps to record and power director to edit. And yes you were, you did well.

If you end up disabling net graph but still want your fps showing, you can always use cl_showfps 1 instead. Also, have you messed around with your rates at all? By the looks of it, you're using the default rates. One more thing - I'd recommend trying to lower the ingame sounds a bit so it's slightly easier to hear you.

As far as gameplay goes, you did a pretty awesome job. People playing medic seems to be a lesser occurrence, so props to you for that. My only recommendation would be to try and be constantly moving; there were a few times that you were in middle and you were standing still. Just food for thought, as middle tends to be the niche for snipers on BM

I don't think it bothers me that much. Hardly noticed it was there. I would still say remove it though since other people might be distracted.

I'm gonna be a semi-harsh critic here since I'm always quick to criticize.

Now this wasn't a bad commentary, but in most other commentaries I've seen, people talk about something interesting while the gameplay is basically some nice background video. I know in a few commentaries people talk a little bit about the actual game when something interesting happens, but I think it works much better if you talk mostly about something else. In addition, it keeps us wanting to watch the video.

I don't need you to tell me what I'm watching, I need to be interested in what I'm watching. Just give us an alert on when something hilarious or cool's about to happen. No need to tell us exactly what we're seeing.

Your criticizing is absolutely correct. To be honest this was merely a test video on how well my machine runs with fraps recording and how well it rendered. Another thing is doing a first video ever is scary for 90% of people if not all. Putting a commentary on top of that makes it 5x scarier if a person is not used to talking for a long period of time. I was already planning on doing an introduction video that tells you about myself a little bit, and some sort of medic tips video.

The 30 fps is actually the setting on fraps to make the frames constant so the video doesn't mess up or something. My usual frames are usually above 60 at all times, sometimes getting up to 120. I might change that setting to a higher setting.

Yeah, I know the feeling pepper, the other thing that would be better is if you do want to comment specifically on the video that happening, I'd recommend recording live and then voicing your thought process as you go through it. Thats good for both new and old players alike to get an idea of what other people are thinking while they play the game, it gives them a new perspective.

oh you do not want to hear me live, I curse like a sailor when I get frustrated and probably forget I was recording. So that's kind of out of the picture currently lol.

I agree with you Goz about talking of something interesting like for example the help that this server needs for it to stay alive, but it's also nice to have what's happening narrated. So a bit of both parts would be awesome.

About the netgraph, i didn't notice it on the first place, but when i did it became annoying so as everyone said: be sure to turn it off.

Also you need some sort of intro/presentation image or video so the start isn't too rough.

I have to say i really liked the gameplay vid, and if i ever get my hands on Sony Vegas again i'll make some myself

60 Frames per second is the usual monitor's refresh rate(Unless you have a 3D ready monitor which is 120), anything higher than that won't be displayed by the monitor and will only make the Graphics card burn faster than what it should. Also, the human eye can't see above 60 fps so there is no need to have more frames than that.

To CC: Your card might have Vsync on, which locks the framerate at the monitor's rate, but i don't know why 30fps since most monitors have a 60fps rate. I do have vsync on and it runs every single game at a constant 60 fps which is perfect.

Don't worry, just be confident. No one's watching you. (if you understand what I mean. it's not like you're giving a live speech.) Just play normally and think of something interesting to talk about.

Besides, you sounded great in this commentary. Still though, the only time you really need to talk about what's going on in the game is during a Let's Play (which doesn't really work with TF2) or when something interesting's going to happen.

And your computer runs perfectly fine with FRAPS in the background.

I actually meant if no one gives me questions I will come up with stuff to say beforehand so basically I'll have a word document on topics I will discuss about myself written already.
