Guild wars 2 Profession

So I'm just a bit curious which profession you are gonna pick at Guild wars 1
I was a Monk where my name comes from So give me your feed back
PS: Im gonna be a Guardian since there the new healers

Umm, well first there are no healers in this game, or tank, or dps. Everyone does it all. Second, if anything Guardian looks like it would be best at taking damage. But anyway, I'm gonna roll Elementalist mainly. I believe you get 5 character slots so I will definitely be doing Thief and idk which other 3 yet.

Warrior, Ranger, Guardian, Thief, and Engineer for my first five.

IF I get GW2 (never played GW and haven't come to a definite yes/no yet), I will probably either go with warrior or guardian, warrior if I feel like making a dps, 2 hand/dual wield melee fighter, guardian if I feel like making a tank. Although I have been watching the Yogscast videos about the different races and Engineer looks really interesting and fun.

My 5 class choices from most desired to least desired would have to be Warrior/Guardian (tied for 1st/2nd), Engineer, Ranger, and Necromancer. I like that you can have multiple minions active at the same time as the necromancer lol

Assuming you get a secondary like GW1, I'll most likely be boring and go Ranger/Necro combo again (if I buy the game).

Assassin/Monk like my 1st character in Factions (made the game so hard for myself, never finished it) Also Necro/Monk...raising the dead and healing lol.

I mostly played as a Monk, so I'll play it safe with whatever class best resembles Monk responsibilities.
