a little help

Hey guys i got a 3 year old Dell laptop that i wanna reformat. i've never reformated anything before i usualy just buy a new hd and do a fresh install... just wondering how to go about it. I basically want to get rid of eveyrthing on the laptop except the OS (which is vista ...). so any help would be great

Formatting will wipe EVERYTHING from your hard drive choice, literally.

You will have to install Vista again, but who would want to?
If you can run Vista, chances are you can run 7.

I heard this in a video once on YouTube:

If order to format, you need either an OS DVD or a bootable disk.
I can help you attain Windows 7 in Ventrilo or on STEAM if you have it.
