Guild Wars 2 looks so interesting. I wanted to try it as soon as I could, but obviously, I missed the beta sign-up. :-( Hopefully, the game will be f2p or inexpensive on steam.

Totally screaming like a little girl...I can't wait to get my hands on my Asura elementalist

Theres no sub fee and I've never played GW1 either but that doesnt matter because besides the lore it is going to be a very different game, different from every other mmorpg in general. You dont have to be a fan of GW1 but if you're a fan of mmorpgs and not stuck in the past playing WoW or in love with lightsabers, you owe it to yourself to check out this game. Its gonna be epiiiiic.

So excited for this game. Everything I hear about it makes me giddy. They're turning the MMO cookie cutter formula on its ear with their design choices.

Generic quests given by people with !s and ?s over their head? Naw. We'll let people see the smoke rising from a burning village in the distance and go investigate the DYNAMIC quest system.

Repetition with every new character? Nope. From character creation onward, everyone has their own story with so many choices and branching paths that no two will feel the same.

Dedicated healer class? What's that? Everyone gets some form of heal or damage prevention that can help the group out, from pure heals to buffs to damage-soakers.

Repetitive dungeons? Nun-uh. Finishing a dungeon unlocks new modes and alters the stories you will encounter underground.

Public events too easy/hard? We'll dynamically scale the event to provide adequate challenge for the number and power of the players present.

High levels unable to help their lowbie friends, or monopolizing an area by slaughtering everything? We'll put a level cap on areas of the game so higher level players will fight at a level more suitable for the area they're in.

I could go on and on... the official site has a ton of info. So many good design choices that break away from the WoW clone formula.

There's no subscription fee, but you will have to pony up the initial cash to purchase the game. Buy it once, play for life.

Yes, but i am pretty sure only like 5,000 of the million got it, and it was the first ones where were on the site waiting for it lol.;)

I remember playing the first one only a little and not liking it, but the second one looks incredible. It's a shame, really; I hope that the first doesn't prevent alot of people from buying/even considering to buy the second

I'm a GuildWars nut so my vote is the following
"Yes, I was screaming like a little kid while doing so! "

Dbad.

Yes, I did because it is free, and ever since someone I knew showed me the game about a year ago, I've been keeping an eye on the development. I really like the look of it, and will probably buy it, so may as well get in the beta to try the game out first
