Audio issue

So i picked up BF3 on the 25, and installed and downloaded the recent update.

I got in game and loaded the campaign ( a web browser? really? eww...) Any way I get going and the first thing I heard was instant stuttering. It was something like this, "...Ar..are.are...y..you..allll...alo..alon..alone?!" It's not just dialogue, its pretty much everything that deals with sound. I shut off the game saying "I can't believe I dropped $60 on a speech impediment."

So I was wondering if anyone has/had this issue before and had any solution to fix it. I was really looking forward to playing, and this is just a deal breaker for me.

The problem persists in online play as well too.

It's not a problem I've heard about yet. What are your specs?

Currently running on:

*Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
*AMD Athlon II x2 240 processor
*NVIDIA GeForce GT 430
*NVIDIA High-Definition Audio - that obviously can with the card

first thing i would suggest is making sure you have the most up to date nvidia drivers for your card like here

with it being a low end card you might be bottle necked with the card trying to run sound and graphics on it at the same time. have you tried your on board sound from your mother board and see if it occur. if sound is fine with your on board audio then it would be the under powered gt 430

You're pretty much at the bare minimum on both the card and the cpu. As the last two posters have said, update to the latest drivers and run audio off the mobo. If that doesn't do it I've got a feeling nothing short of an upgrade will.

werd, your stuff is a bit below the minimum specs for bf3. Moving the audio from the card to the mobo may help a little but will still have some choppiness in it. If you plan on upgrading your pc, get yourselft at least a gtx460, if you can still find one, or better and a decent quad core processor (intel i5 series, amd phenom) with a new motherboard, RAM, psu and maybe a HDD, and case
