hey guys, logged out of steam today an when i went back, i forgot my password, so i went an tried to log in an reset password steam sent me an email with the code but never put the security question for me to answer. i put in a support question an hope they get back to me. can anyone help me out. thanks

For reals, i can't figure out what would help, i cannot connect steam now even with my correct password. I blame the NWO.

Goomba, Hardware, you may be out of luck. I occasionally forget my password and try to reset it. I know I am using the correct answer to the security question, but it never lets me reset it. I eventually remember it and am able to reconnect. Steam has a real problem with all of this.

Nuke, i got definetly the right password and steam starts to connect, but goes right away to "not responding"-state.

EDIT: Fixed now, and did nothing. Computers.......

Magic. I was pointing out that Steam's whole login/forgot password system is iffy at best. Glad you are back in.

Does no one else have remember password checked or write your password down on paper or notpad? In any case you can not do anything much more goomba. You will have to wait and hear from valve. Oh and its not a security question its just a code you get in your email. Sometimes it does not show up the first time so you have to redo it.

Lol , Goomba every thing is written down when you reach our age, how else can we remember?
I copy all game CFG's etc into separate folder so I can copy them back into steam when steam update's.
