Contest Ideas

So I recently used most of my spare cash to make sure I didnt waste those christmas coupons, and decided to buy a few extra copies of some games.

I currently have one copy of Left 4 Dead 2 I can gift to someone and one copy of
Garry's Mod. I may also gift Dead Island, but I need some way to distrubute them. Any ideas for a contest of sorts? I aint doing a domination contest because Im a pretty suicidal pyro who gets dominations and dominated all the time, then within a minute gets revenge or revenge killed >.>.

they're pretty cheap 1-2 scrap so everyone should be able to afford 'em.

load a boxing map.
have few people in 8 or 12 or whatever.
pair 'em up and have 'em do 1 vs 1.
winner advances and fights winner of another round.
last man standing wins something.

or just do a boxing match.
 
hello wyrm, i beleive you should contact leadership about this, considering they might have something planned i know we may be holding another recruiting contest next month but are unsure still, so talk to leadership see if they have anything planned! also, these kind of things are perfect for the Drop box! the drop box is at the bottem of the forum yes it is a thread but dont worry no one can see your posts except leadership!

you could give me the copies of the games, or give em to Activate and we could hand them out @ events, that always works :D

As for the holiday punch thing, that would be a bit difficult since we'd need to get enough holiday punches for everyone that doesn't have one. But we have had normal heavy boxing events in the past, if theres enough interest we may do another one :D

how many users do we get per event? i could probably provide holiday punch for whomsoever does not have them.
 
wyrm, for the record, please don't post a thread like this again, it just leads to troll comments and no one pays attention to the topic.

anyways, I'd suggest doing some sort of contest where it's based off luck or guessing. that gives everybody an equal chance of getting the prizes.

I like heavy boxing, but if you want some other ideas you can always have a "name/describe that weapon/hat/misc" contest. Or a replay making contest, like a mini-Saxies.
 
Im just going to figure something out for the leap year event like some sort of random drawing, If anyone can provide me with a simple way to simulate a drawing that would be nice, and I have changed the games a little, Now its going to be just Dead Island(My computer cant even handle it :( ) and L4D2.

You could try www.random.org. Just give everyone who's entering a number, adjust the "max" to the number of people entering, press the generate button and voila!
 
When I did the Thanksgiving raffle I assigned a number to each username in Excel. Then I used random.org's number generator to pick the winner.

(Basically what Romeert said :P )

lol dead island does not take a lot to run.
