Horrible news

It is with great sadness that I am to announce that today the jail map I was creating was corrupted after I was about 75% done with it but hopefully I can find a starting point file

Damn. Can't you try to repair it though? Also always back it up even to a flash drive

Sadly nope when it was corrupted my comp for some reason auto deleted it and yeah I have a backup save from when I was like 20% done with it but gotta find the usb

Hence the reason you always back up to another drive and save it as another file such as maptype_mymap_b

Back up both the VMF and BSPs, because even with the BSP its still safe and you can decompile it to start at where it was when it was compiled.

Something like that happened to me when my map was like 1%done ._.
Saved everything under a new name ever since.

Good news found my USB!!!! It has the map 45% done!!!! Yay!!!!

Yeah, I back that stuff up every night at like 3am when im sleeping. Also I always rename the map at certain points as im making it.

I just save stuff to timecapsle on my mac, it does everything on its own from there.
