New high-level black-yellow color crystals can now be purchased from the Pre-Order Vendors on the Imperial and Republic Fleets.
Several high end speeder models have been temporarily reduced in price until Game Update 1.2.
A vendor that sells a variety of previously unavailable endgame crystals has been added temporarily to the Imperial and Republic Fleets until Game Update 1.2.
The Portable Holo Dancer once again displays the correct visual effect.
Dark/Light requirements present on some color crystals have been removed.

Will only be available till 1.2. Also rumored to be white crystals to be added as well.

Hoping i can finally get my purple color crystal :D!

Hmm.... 5 million creds to fire white blaster bolts from my pistols... NOPE.AVI. I'll stick to black-red thank you very much.

Rage I want white and purple D: Guess purple is the one Ill be able to get -.-

Hrmm... white sabers on a Sith... it feels so... dirty. But it's such a "lookit me, I'm rich!" symbol.

I'm so torn.

Also, how do those stats compare to the Artifice recipes? Hopefully they haven't effectively killed that crew skill economy. I almost would have preferred they just added the recipes to stimulate the economy.

Sure, we'd see outrageous prices on launch day, but that's what friends and guildies are for. Or, if somebody lacks those, patience as they wait for the market to flood and the price to drop to a more reasonable level.

if those prices and stats are acurate then you gotta give bioware some credit

its actually well planned..they are planing on revitalize economy so they need to get rid of some of the credits that are floating around the servers..and this is an effective way to do it
If people need credits they will feel tempted to craft and make sure noone holds a monopoly

I wonder tho..whats the best pvp saber...Battlemaster Saber or Rakata Saber with that color crystal uhm...

Damn i need to beat medviah on the next Sith inquisitor weapon roll >.<

This is true. I just wish it didn't come at the expense of Artificers, I guess. And that's not a self-serving opinion; I don't do Artifice on any of my characters. It just seems like nobody will be buying level 50 crystals from them.

Anyone know how the stats compare between these and the crafted purple quality?

Atm the purple quality crystals made by artifice are lacking compared to the ones you can get from pvp or raiding. The proffession sadly only has the unique magento color which will not be sold by the vendor, but you never know with this vendor coming out artifice might recieve some lover and get some awsome patterns later on.

Doesn't sell the crystals themselves but the vendor does sell the schematics for the magenta crystals, so there's going to be a spike of crystals across all of the servers.

Pretty sure that's the case with most crew skills, though. I can't imagine many cases where a crafted item will exceed one dropped on a raid. Especially since the only real "difficulty" in crafting right now is proccing a purple disassemble.

Only way I'd see this happening is if they add recipes that requires raid drops, and a consignment system like in EQ2 where the crafter picks a recipe, and a third party can contribute the raw materials and receive the no-trade item after the process is done.

I was curious more about how they compare to the vendor.
