I don't know if someone has noticed it but when all the servers are full there is some weird lag going on, as if the server couldn't keep up, framerate suffers too, specially on blackmesa with such a big open area below.

Ping remains consistent but it's as if the server can't handle the load.. I'd check it myself but well.... I'm not the server admin :D

I have kinda noticed this too. Some pugs also.

since you have 200fps when you play and 16gigs of RAM its the servers fault.

yes but how could that fix my issue? mine is a Core i7 2600k @ 4.2Ghz, an eVGA GTX570 and 16gb RAM... I play on my workstation... and my game runs at 200ish fps on MESA 16vs16 when the other servers are not full.

I'll go deeper on this issue maybe there is some stats I can get with net_graph

I noticed a bit of lag but it could have been on the servers part, maybe a complete accident

We would appreciate it if you could take screenshots of your netgraph while you are lagging and post them so that we can troubleshoot. Alternatively you can also let a member of Leadership know when you are lagging and we will investigate possible causes at that time.

Let us know!

LOL chicken, you have yet to get a dom on me in a long long long long time lol. I was on for a long time on mesa and steam crashed twice on me and you still have no dom on me. Face it, you is BABUS.

The answer to your problems is to get on a new iMac.

fixed

Unfortunately, I have a 2009 base model (warranty replacement, I had no choice :( ), and it has lag issues, most frequently on Mesa, Valve maps, and occasionally 2Fort. I have yet to notice any significant lag on Foundry. It also seems to have fewer issues when I run it under Windows, though I do have Quantum.cfg installed on the mac side, which could be causing problems

On a good note though, TF2 has yet to crash while I've been playing it on Mac!!!!!!!!!!
(Every once in a while it will crash on startup, but never when I'm about to dominate someone :P)

Thanks for the clarification. I was going to have to find the demo's frying pan and introduce it to several people's skulls.

And there's also this: http://www.apple.com/macmini/

A map change fixed it, it happened when the other 2 servers (2fort and valve maps) were full but after "map change" it fixed itself. I tried the other two maps and they were working fine
