What up what up.
Over a period of time I have customized the sounds, the skins, the models, and textures for dod:s.. So I thought I'd make a thread where you can share what you have installed with others assuming you have decided to customize your game as well.
If you never got into downloading custom stuff from sites like game banana (previously FPSbanana), you should. If you have 20 minutes to hunt around, it REALLY raises the replay value and makes the game all around more fun to play.
Additionally, the standard skins, sounds, and models for dods are highly unrealistic and pretty much all around suck IMO.. (only exception is the mg42 shoot sound)
Here's some skins and what-not I have installed currently. (I install new ones frequently)
^ my current axis skins (SS 'Death's Head' Totenkopf uniform)
^ Axis support skin ('Deaths Head' SS Totenkopf)
^stg44 current skin (High res)
^ My favorite STG44 reskin. (FG42)
^ One of my fav k98 replacements, a gewehr 43 reskin
^ current k98 skin. (Aimpoint sight added. Yeah yeah unrealistic I know, but it's quite fun)
^ shovel reskin (SS dagger)
All of these skins came from gamebanana's DoD:s skins section http://www.gamebanana.com/dods/skins/..
I chose to only posted my favorite ones, which happen to be all axis related.
