Need some Steam tech help

I haven't been on in a while, I moved and have been super busy so I had to update CSS before I could play then it wanted to update Steam. Now I get this pop up error message when I try to open Steam and it wants to update that reads "unable to open writeminidump.exe for writing" any suggestions?

I would suggest doing a fresh install since you haven't been on in a long time, they've done quite a few updates.

Just so Im clear to do a fresh install I would need to uninstall Steam first correct then what about all the games installed under it ?

I would recommend moving the steamapps folder somewhere else, as that is separate of the steam client and should not effect the actual program. Or you can just delete everything and install completely fresh.

also, when a program installs they most likely put something in your computers registry, so if you want to manually uninstall, you need to get rid of those too

Well, it's pretty likely that you don't totally need to be that complete, but let's try that if deleting everything but Steam.exe and steamapps doesn't work.

Yeh i think you need to fix your steam APP for it to work again
