What's up guys. As you can see by my division tag I play CS:S a lot. I am having trouble when I play BF3. Like I might get about 6 kills a game simply because i can't hit anything. I am very used to the way CS:S handles and it seems like mouse acceleration is built into the game engine for me. I was curious if you guys had tips on getting better/used to the game.

8. think as a team player not a lone wolf
9. learn the maps inside and out
10. if u read this far none of the above tips will matter, practice makes perfect, the best way to learn is on your own.

What bravo said but also don't zoom in when you are like 10 feet from an that also sees you another tip is burst fire even at short distances at peoples head

How not to die 101:
1. Never run in combat, (only for travel)
2. Stay out of the open
3. Stay along the edges of a confrontation zone, never be in the middle
4. Before spawning on a squadmate, take a second to make sure he isn't about to die
5. Always have an alternate route, stay behind cover
How to kill 101:
1. Take your corners slow,
2. Get around the enemy, and flank
3. with #2 in mind, take a second to aim and make every shot count
4. Burst fire with your weapon, don't spray and pray
5. Pick the right weapon, a shotgun for inside a building, and an assault rifle for streets
And lastly, Adapt, the most important thing to do well. Reflect on what you did in a match, ask, what was the biggest problem in that match? why did you keep dieing? Were you running straight at the enemy? or were you going around? etc. Then, correct the situation.
P.S. If a team mate dies while going around a corner (or area), DO NOT do the same thing, go around, flank.

Well I have played BF3 since release on console and I am very good at it. Most of these tips don't really apply to me. I just need help getting used to how the mousing works on PC... If you are just used to it you probably haven't noticed that when you turn it has a sort of mouse acceleration built in instead of going exactly where you moved your mouse.
there is an option in the menu called raw mouse input, play around with that and your normal mouse settings.

Focusing on team work will get you very far. IE., don't just grab a vehicle and take off, wait for someone else to join. Multi-seat vehicles are multi-seat for a reason.
What really took me a while to get used to was just learning the maps. BF3 maps are a bit different than BF2, they have a lot of choke points. Learning those choke points helped me with positioning myself and watching my squad mates back when they're setting up offense or defense.

You guys forgot the most important rule! dont forget to have fun! however these tips may help to improve your skill towards the game but dont be afraid to try out different things and see what works for you!
