Internet breaks computer

I just upgraded my internet form 2mbs to 25mbs. Now, all of a sudden, my brother's pc stops working properly. Everything crashes , no sound, horrendous fps lag.

Now, when I unplug the cable from his pc to the router, It goes back to perfect working order.

This has got me baffled.

check the network interface cards specs and see how musch it can handle maximum, it can probs only handle 10mps, and you might need to buy a new one to handle the 25, thank you wikipedia
