Need Advise

For the past couple days i have had problems with my comp.When i go and check my verizon email on the sides comes up with some music and collage girls kissing and stuff.

Other times i go onto a website and where the banner is comes up some thing that says my comp is invected and begins a virus scan and tells me to D/l this virus program.

Then there is times when i come on this forum and where the gamerail banner up in the right corner comes up with 404 not found or the virus thing i talked about or pics of nude heavy women ..its driving me nuts anyone have any idea what this is and how in gods name i can get rid of it i have a virus program but it seems like it is not working right..please help..Thanks a bunch

this did not start untill my father in law had a virus and said he got rid of it ..He then sent me a email and thus began the problems..i told him about it but he says he got rid of it through a program ..but i dont know.

Sounds like you got a virus obviously.
I would try a couple of things...

1) Uninstall your current anti-virus program and install AVG

Then run a full virus scan

2) You need to check your computer for Adware and Spyware download these and run them

3) Next you should run some registry cleaners and junk cleaners

4) Now lastly run a disk defrag using this program

After installing and running all these programs your problem should be fixed

thanks but i went down to my buddys comp store and he sold me Norton 360 and i installed it and ran it ..wow it optimized my comp,checks email for virus`s,and has a id protection,spyware remover firewall and everything now my comp is working the way it should..oh it found 9 virus`s and 4 where bad ones had to reboot my comp in order for them to be moved out of my computer..again thanks..

oh no not Norton! I dislike Norton because it tends to slow down the computer because its such a huge antivirus program...but hey whatever works right? I use AVG because its probably one of the fastest antivirus programs that won't slow down gaming plus its free

Kevbo,I have heard that many times before. I also have Norton on one computer and avg on two others. I really don't see a difference in speed. Does Norton just slow things down when updating and scanning or simply running in the background?

to be honest i have been using it now for couple days and if anything my comp is faster also i was playing kalt yesturday and it ran better then it ever ran..but im happy with it and for two years of service for only 75.00 its well worth it..then when its time for me to renew they send me a new code at no charge..so cant beet that..lol

The main reason people say Norton slows stuff down is because it takes up a lot more RAM when running in the background...So if you have a lot of RAM it probably doesn't matter

Yea, i'm running 4 gigs of corcair 6400. Prior to upgrading that from 2 gigs I really couldn't use the computer when it was scanning.

I think I understand what your saying now about Norton.
