General Rules
Four (4) teams will compete in a 20vs20 conquest tournament. The tournament will start on Saturday at 10:00pm EST and will finish that night or early the next day. The winner will be announced as soon as the tournament is over. To qualify to compete, each team must be registered on National ESL (NESL) website and have at least 20 confirmed members on their roster. Also, only the first 4 teams to confirm that they are playing on the day of the tournament will be able to play in that night’s tournament. The earliest time to confirm will be at 9:00pm EST on the night of the tournament. Teams will have to confirm each Saturday to qualify to play.
For teams outside North America - Teams from anywhere may join this series. Please note, servers must be in North America for all matches, unless agreed upon by both teams in the match.
Confirming Your Team
Starting at 9:00pm EST and ending at 10:00pm EST on the night of the tournament, teams will be able to confirm if they are playing in that night’s tournament. To do this, the team leader/owner will click on the confirm button located in your team profile. If the button is grayed out, this means that 4 teams have already confirmed.
Matches
From the 4 teams that qualify, we will randomly select which team plays against which team. Each match will consist of 2 rounds - teams must switch sides after the first round. The winner from match 1 will play against the winner from match 2 (match 3). Teams have 15 minutes to get in the server. If a team is not in the server after the allotted 15 minutes, the opposing team will automatically be the winner of that match. Between each match, teams will have a maximum of 20 minutes before the next match starts. In the event of a tie, the team with the highest ticket count will be considered the winner (For example, if Team A wins the first round 150-0, and Team B wins the second round 125-0, Team A is the winner). If your opponent does not show after 15 minutes, you must enter the result as your opponent did not appear in time. Do not enter a default win for yourself. If the opponent is not able to play, because he is playing another Match for the same Cup, you have to wait! In this case please open a protest ticket.
Maps
Match 1 and match 2 will play the same map based on the schedule. The match 3 map will be randomly selected by a NESL BF3 admin. Maps for match 1 and 2 include the following: Caspian Border, Grand Bazaar, Sharqi Peninsula*, Seine Crossing, and Noshahr Canals. Maps for match 3 will include all maps from match 1 and 2 plus Strike at Karkand*, Wake Island 2014*, Kargh Island, and Tehran Highway.
* Indicates maps from the expansion pack.
If a team does does not have the expansion pack. Another map will be picked at random.
More Info
An admin over at ESL has personally invited us to join this league but before we can even consider joining it we need to assess interest in it and determine whether we can field the 20+ players needed to play every Saturday @ 10:00pmEST. Also remember to keep recruiting, the more active members we have the more likely we will be able to join these leagues. So the purpose of this thread is that. Please vote on the poll whether you can be available for matches and reply to this thread what an ideal Practice day/time would be for you. If you do reply yes to the post I request that you please make an account over at ESL (Registration LINK) and request to join the eGO Team (Team Join Link). PW to join the team is "bfego" If you have any questions please post them here or find me on Ventrilo.
Also as a reminder, if you have any interest in the competitive side of BF3, don't forget to join the BF Competitive Team Usergroup, if you haven't already.
