If you pause at around 42 seconds you can see the ACW-R that is going to be the best weeping ever (unless dices screws it up)

was anyone else reminded of crysis 2 when you saw the rooftop? lol

kinda sad, this is not what Battlefield is really, they are turning this into a COD like game now. I can already see this becoming a USAS dominated map. Smaller maps are fun for sure though.

SWEET, 4 new maps for people to level up there 320/rpg. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Joking aside, I hope these 4 maps are better than Op Metro.

I hate this response, quit QQing, Battlefield is a FPS shooter who cares what maps they use. COD does not trademark CQB maps, get over it!

People liked the Battlefield for it's large open maps and the way it integrated vehicle and infantry gameplay. It was what separated Battlefield from other FPSs. The problem Killer is pointing out as well as many other veterans of Battlefield is that BF3 is abandoning what made it truly unique for more and more CQB maps to appease the COD crowd since COD is what EA sees as its rival. So they feel the need to show that they can do what COD does better rather than offer the alternative that BF used to be.

Unfortunately the playerbase is more concerned about their stats than having fun so maps like Metro get overplayed and lead EA to believe we want more and more of that to the point of alienating those who bought BF3 to experience those large scale combined arms battles to break away from the monotony that has been FPS, not just COD, in the last couple of years.

So true.

I personally don't find this trailer appealing at all. But according to the leaks, we have 2-3 more map packs.

They are as you say appeasing the cod players but maybe they are just making simple maps to hold us over until armored furry comes out because they did say that there is going to be the biggest bf map ever so in this statement it. Luke be taking time to make 4 of these maps (based on b2k and CQB each having 4) so they are are showing a possible play towards COD players but right after they are going back to what the community of bf is know for liking

Maybe... They also said the maps that shipped would be the biggest in BF history and that only applies to actual harddrive space and air vehicles otherwise the on the ground playing field is rather small. Even the B2K maps have entire sections of the map that were available in BF2 cut out... so I'm highly skeptical about the "biggest map in BF history"

If it turns out to be the biggest map in history in terms of hard drive space... I admit I will just laugh my, uhm, tail off. It's kind of like advertising a topless car wash, and to then explain to customers you're just not washing the top of the car. Why, what were They thinking it was??

The video did remind me of MW2, which is the only COD I've played. I hope they keep the teamwork and tactical playstyle of battlefield. Working as a squad should trump run and gun tactics in BF I think.

I tend to like close quarters infantry maps though. Lookin forward to it.

totally agree, so COD like, except with better graphics.... don't know why they would veer away from what has always worked for them

well if you dont like it the close quarters expansion you can play the armored warfare styled one that will feature the 'largest map in battlefield history' i know thats what i will be looking forward to

I will enjoy Armored DLC, but close quarters is

RIP BF Series

1942 to 2142

And RIP my BF3 gaming till that darn patch, whenever it comes out

awwww yeah more smaller maps.....more rpg spam....more shotgun spam....more frag spam....this is going to be so cool! /sarcasm over

I really don't see myself buying this. At least off of the first impression. Maybe once we get some info on the level design, i'll decide because currently i wouldn't want to deal with the explosive spam that will blow away all of the walls, basically making the map barren.

Says the one who absolutely loves the USAS and M320... >_>

I don't care what DICE comes out with. I'll definitely play the expansions regardless; just because some Battlefield veterans like the large maps doesn't mean smaller maps can't be mixed in as well.

i do love the weapons for sure, they are the only ones that work for me in CQC but its not what I relate Battlefield with. Its fun but not Battlefield.
