this is a lsit of rules I'm working on to maximize team work and understanding of other players needs

1. being a heavy doesn't entitle you to a pocket medic

2 . as a medic don't pocket one person spread the healing love!

3. when you need heals don't spam for medic call one time and stay safe

4. as medic do not ignore one class or player ie:not healing scouts

5. when near a medic and asking for heals while near a medic don't run around them or move to far away

6. as a pyro if you see a burning team mate exstinguish them (its not that hard and might save a life)

7. don't call for a medic then run for a healthpack unless its completely necessary

8. if you notice a teammate with lower health or burning wait to see if they make a move at the healthpack first

9. don't demand that someone use a specific weapon ask politely (I know I'd be more likely to agree to this)

10. if you notice a spy that you can kill don't ignore it use the spy voice command or type what the spy is disguised into chat

11. if you have a mic don't be afraid to use it! most of the time a mic is a much faster way of relaying information than chat

12. if you're burning near a friendly pyro don't take off running they can't put you out if you're to far away

13. don't stack one class unless your team has decided to rush a certain class stack usually doesn't end well

14. if you notice your team is missing an important class (ie: medic) don't just sit there ask if anybody on your team would change to that class or maybe change yourself

15. as an engie try to focus on getting a sentry up first before anything else rather than having a mountain of lvl 1s

16. listen to want your teammates want say you need a teleporter don't drop everything to get one up but remember to put one up when you get a chance

17. KILL THE MEDIC FIRST!! if you don't it'll be much harder to kill anyone being healed

18. don't always pop uber the second the gate opens maybe hang back and wait for the other teams ubers to burn out

19. remember the golden uber rule "pop it don't drop it" even if its not the exact moment you were waiting for it won't matter if your dead you can always build up more uber

20. check team chat often you never know what your teammates might tell you (ie: everythings down Go) then miss the opportunity because no one checked team chat

21. as a scout leave the teleporter for slower classes like heavy and soldier

22, don't shove someone off a teleporter either wait your turn or walk

23. as an engie put your tele somewhere not easily visible to the other team

24. don't spam the spy command if there's not a spy (exception see rule 25)

25. as a medic if you have to many spies on your team pocket one and spam the spy command

26. SPYCHECK whenever possible

27. as a medic when ubering against a sentry get as close as possible allowing your uber target to fight with out the puch back

28. as n engie if you're being harassed by a spy don't be afraid to fight him

29. when being healed as a demo or soldier if your safe hurt yourself to build uber

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS

As a medic, don't feel obligated to use your ubers on your pocket. If you're pocketing a heavy and there's a sentry across from a choke, well out of a heavy's effective range, grab a demo or soldier and run with it.

interesting post, but these are rules that everybody should've picked up (or I hope picked up) through experience.

Good rules you should add as a spy sap the sentry before killing the engie

bad move.

you can kill the engie and sap it, but you gotta be no where near the front of the sentry. In addition, you get literally 1/2 a second to sap it.

It's a better option than sapping then stabbing though. Sapping alerts the engie that you're there. This makes things messy, and they can also alert their teammates, leading to your enemies going on a manhunt for you afterwards. You should only sap before stabbing when you want to bait out your target engineer.

As a scout, you do not need to take a teleporter.

please, just leave the teleporters to the heavier classes that are slower than you. you don't have to stay away from it, just leave it for the heavy classes when you see them.

You need to use capitals and correct spacing in the OP (i.e a space after the number) and a few mistakes here and there you may want to re-read over it.

forgot to add that you can also sap without killing the engie at all, provided your team is ready to rush in. however, that requires some coordination on your team's part and relies heavily on whether or not your team will actually help you out.

i have a couple of additions.

If you are playing as a medic and you pop an uber to take down a sentry, you need to LEAD your uber target, medics are immune to sentry push back, letting your heavy, demo, exc. get closer to enemy sentry.

as an engie, if you are being harassed by a single spy who is attacking alone, don't be afraid of attacking the spy and leaving your buildings. often times, you can kill the spy and still save your buildings.

Hit your mic key - don't even need to talk into it, just show me the little icon - if you are running toward my Sentry and I am wasting all my ammo spy-checking you.

And for god sake, SNIPERS STOP STEALING ALL THE GRENADE BAGS!!!
