I haven't heard news about it for quite some time. In fact its been a few months, and I was wonder if I would ever get in to try it out. It turns out today is my lucky day. After getting frustrated at Blacklight Retribution (and my crappy hard drive freezing on me), I decided to watch a few streams online, because I couldn't be bothered to play anything. I saw this girl I know playing Blacklight, or at least that's what her title said. I hop on in and I see third person combat and instantly realize its Ghost Recon Online (dat blue hue).

I thought to myself, "I might as well check my emails, who knows, I might have gotten in." Checked my first email account and right there sitting on top of spam was my beta invite and key.

Basically if you guys signed up, might be worth looking in your emails. See you on the battlefield :)

btw since the NDA is down, I'll get some pics/videos up if I have time.

i tried gettin into graw back in the day, but just didnt flow w/ me (no offense). u guys enjoy!

If you are having trouble with performance in Blacklight:R, turning off DX11 helped me stabilize it.

Wish I could try out Ghost Recon Online.

Since the servers are down until tomorrow, I'll do a quick recap of my experience. The game is fun. Very refreshing from traditional FPS, since its a third person shooter. I noticed that you die fairly easily as well, so teams tend to play more tactically. However my only gripe is the Recon class. It seems like its the most powerful of the 3. Although recon can only equip Sniper rifles, Submachine guns, and pistols, its very versatile. With its cloak ability, you can pretty much run in on anyone not paying attention and get a quick smg kill. From what I've noticed the cloak isn't like the cloak of TF2. Sure it has a charge time/cooldown time, but you can attack while cloaked before it drops, netting you or your opponent an easy kill.

The Specialist class seems to be the most useless of the 3. Its basically the Support class of BF3, but with more inaccurate LMGs and no pretty suppression effect :(. The starter LMG is so inaccurate, even at close ranges, despite it being a medium range weapon. The Specialist's abilities seem to be very good, however the range for them leave something to be desired.

Despite this recap sounding somewhat negative, I think everyone should try this game, if they can get into the closed beta. Third person shooting and covering is a breath of fresh air :).

Got mine but I can't launch it due to some .Net Framework error. If I could, I'd give the key to someone else.

I'm really interested in Future Soldier, but I'm a free to play junkie. I can't ignore this, lol. I'll try it as soon as I'm able.
