Welcome to my tutorial for New to CSS or FPS



1.Familiarize yourself with the controls
Get used to moving around with the w, a, s, d keys, and shooting with the
mouse. Find a mouse sensitivity speed that you like

2.Customize keys
Some people use the default keys but if your having a hard time do
something in time you might want to switch around your settings

3.Know the map
I think this has to be one of the most important thing you might know
learn the way your enemies are going & find out what you will be doing
As a CT you will try to get the hostage's or Defuse the Bomb Also knowing
the map can give you the advantage at times which you can Camp a corner

4.Finding your Gun
There are a couple of different guns in the game a Great Starter gun is the AK47 or the M4A1 there very powerful and actuate. Submachine guns & Shotguns are great if you are planing to go gun blazing you might killed but there is a good chance you might get your enemies off guard and kill 3 until you run out of bullets. The scout are a great gun if your planing to guard a area or your on a big map have a bird eye view of a area & telling your team mates what spots are clear

5.Aiming & Spray & pray
Like I mentioned earlier, you should play with the mouse sensitivy that you are used to at all times. Know how far the crosshair moves when u move the mouse a certain distance for Assault guns are great for long range & powerful
keep in mind if your foe is far Tap your shoot button for a actuate shot but if you get close to your enemies Spray & pray will work better and Keep in mind if you duck in the same time your accuracy gets better.

6. Grenades & Flash bangs
Bounce flashes & grenades towards the ground for a short throw and quick peek around a corner, clip it right near the edge... that gives them less time to escape

7.Predict the opponent
if a player is getting a lot of kills on the opposite team, he's probably working the same angle over and over and you'll easily be able to devise a plan to kill him.

One thing about the spray and pray. Just like knowing your gun, take a few rounds just spraying against a wall form a decent distance to understand the spray pattern of your favorite guns.

Nice tutorial Raul! But another thing to anyone that is new to FPS games or CS:S for that matter, is that you do not simply join a game and start owning people, it takes quite a lot of time and practice to gain a good amount of skill to start getting those nice clean headshots that we all love ;].
I mean, it's taken me about 600 hours to get a positive kdr on Dust 2 consistently, but anyway, great thread Raul, I'm sure it help a lot of people. =]

i like the tut, but it will probs never help me, i natually suck for some reason, omean im great at console MW3 and BF3, but i just straight suck at source engine games

AK is a very bad beginner gun, use Para or P90 to get used to controlling your spray first

Yeah the P90 is good to practice with at first cause it has little recoil.

Pro tip:

Unlike the popular belief of 360 noscope. C:SS is all about accuracy. To be the most accurate find a low sensitivity and move with your arm, then slowly add more sensitivity. Do not use wrist, this is only achieved by CS gurus. Playing with wrist promotes choppy crap twichy movement.
